Flashback
Soobin's POV
After 10 minutes of waiting for a text from Taehyun, I started to get worried. I sent Taehyun a couple of texts. After a couple of minutes, he still hadn't responded to any of them. I look at the clock.
Three minutes left.
Two minutes.
One.
As soon as 15 minutes had passed, I immediately call the cops. I tell them the address and the lady on the other end of the line sighs.
"I'm sorry sir but the soonest someone could arrive would be in 20 minutes," she states.
"20 minutes?" I shout, "This is a matter of life and death!"
"We'll send someone as soon as we can," she says.
I hang up the phone and go to my contacts and call the number I never thought I would ever call.
"Ara, can you please help me with something?" I ask as soon as she picks up the phone.
"Who is it?" she questions.
"It's Soobin," I respond.
"Oh,"
"Listen, Ara, my friends have been taken by a psychopath. I need all the help I can get. I already called the cops and they said that they weren't going to come for another 20 minutes. Please Ara," I plead.
There is a silence on the line. I hold my breath as I wait for a response.
"Can I use magic?" she asks after a moment.
"Yes," I reply, "bring your boyfriend too,"
"Hey! He's not my boyfriend!" she complains.
"Whatever, I'll text you the address. I know you live close, so be there in two minutes," I state and hang up the phone.
I grab a pair of shoes and walk out the door. I run to Taehyun's house as fast as I can. When I arrive, Ara and Jihan are already there.
"You're here? I thought you don't have any magic?" I ask as I approach them.
"I don't. I just came became I was promised there would be food later," Jihan shrugs.
I look at Ara and she shrugs as well. I pull out the key from under the mat and unlock the front door. We walk inside and I lead them to where Taehyun directed me to go.
"Ok guys, Jihan and I will look for the key, you look for the door," I command.
We search for a few minutes. Ara is the first to find the door while Jihan finds the key a few minutes later. Ara quietly opens the door and we walk inside.
