hello! i'm lilac/angel, the author. i wanted to make a quick sort of intro chapter to address some things before the story gets started.
a small statement, before the bulleted list of smaller points:
- this story was originally written in 2016/2017. it isn't going to be accurate to the lore and even if i rewrite it, i'm going to keep it mostly the same plot-wise since there are many people that enjoy it. i will, however, be changing a little bit of how the characters act to make it more accurate to canon and how ppl would react in real life, but that's it.
- most of the original things were made up of child-angel's headcanons and cringey views on the fnaf universe as a whole. i apologize in advance. if you're looking for a lore accurate (or even fnaf in general accurate) SL reader insert, then this is not the book for you. it is heavily canon divergent. and now on to the bulleted list:

-funtime foxy's gender : i'm making them genderfluid
= i am very aware that f. foxy's voice in UCN is male. At the time of writing this story, funtime foxy didn't have a canon voice and i believed that they were female. this is not the case now and while i'm aware of that, i will be writing them with he/she/they pronouns and saying that they are genderfluid to avoid anymore discourse in my comments because i am very tired of it.
-y/n's gender/age : gender neutral/thirteen
= not something that was ever talked about in comments, but y/n is going to be referred to with they/them pronouns to be more inclusive. they're around 11 in the first chapter and 13 for the majority of the book after that.
-orphanage???
= i flat out did not know how orphanages worked at the time of writing this. there are currently no orphanages in operation in the united states of america (to my limited knowledge), and they have been replaced by things like group homes and foster care. the portrayal of the orphanage in this series is extremely inaccurate to real life and doesn't reflect how a real life orphanage would have/would now operate. if it is offensive or harmful in any way, please let me know so i can change it immediately.

= i didn't think i'd have to say this but like... y'all, you can call someone kid and kiddo without being sans undertale. please stop mentioning him in my comments, i just wanna write kiddo as a platonic nickname without SANS being mentioned please--
-relationships : completely platonic
= i just feel like i should say this: every relationship portrayed in this story is completely platonic. baby sees y/n in a sort of parental light and the other animatronics see them in the same way. there is no ships in this book (we're gonna ignore the original version's inclusion of f. foxy x f. freddy because shipping the animatronics is weird and i know that now) because the original series is about murder and stuff and that'd be icky.

i really am grateful for all the reads and votes this book has gotten over the past few years, and even if i don't respond to them i read appreciate every comment i get. this series, as cringey as it is, is the thing that really got me started on wattpad and i'm so glad that people liked it as much as they did thank you so much for reading, and i hope you enjoy the edited version of this book!
