The Unforgiven and The Exile have never met, but their past connects them both.  Both were accused of crime that they have not committed, but they let it weigh them down like armor that they didn’t need. Blood would splash to the ground, just like the tears of a once innocent girl that was forced to take the blame for someone that she loved, but never loved her back.

The laughter could be heard from outside my window.  Unlike the fellow champions, I did not like to go anywhere that I wasn’t commanded to, especially not pool parties. The tiresome battle from before left me exhausted anyway, so there was no point in going just to sit around and do nothing. Grabbing a cloth, I began to wipe grime off of my blade from the matches that I participated in that day. Just as it began to get quiet, a sudden breeze sent a chill down my back and I could hear the sound of a flute playing softly. Walking quietly, I made my way outside just to see the dark hair of a man I was sure I saw before. Tears started to pool in my eyes as I inched closer to him. “Y-Yone?”

The mystery man whipped around and I saw his face for the first time. He looked so much like him. So alike that it hurt. “My apologies, I must have mistaken you for someone else.” I could imagine the gears turning in his head as he looked me up and down. “You’re Riven, aren’t you?” He asked, his voice cold and cruel. Slowly, I nodded. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see his arm sliding toward his weapon and that only left mere seconds for me to dash out of the way.

“I don’t know who you are, but you have no right to attack me off a battlefield.” I spat.  Wind. I already sensed something strange about him. His technique was too much like my own. Too much like Yone’s. Could it really be that someone from Ionia was finally looking for me? After all these years, I was hoping that the burden would finally be off my shoulders. It seemed like it was too good to be true. I had no weapon at my side, and the Ionian seemed to have no hesitation to let my blood flow like oceans. There was no way I could put up a fight, and with a wind swordsman nonetheless.

Run. That was the only option. I dashed once again and tried to put as much distance between us as possible.  A tornado of wind flew past and I stumbled, barely able to stop myself from falling. Noises could be heard from Leona’s house as I frantically tried to reach it. I turned around and at that moment, I bumped into no one other than the hostess herself.  “Quite an entrance, Ri-“ Her sentence was cut short when her eyes darted to my chaser.

“Who the hell are you?” She asked. You could see her hair beginning to curl at the ends. That always happened when Leona was mad, and that was never a good sign. Talon grabbed my arm and lightly pushed me so that I was standing behind him. “What trouble have you gotten yourself into now?” He whispered, his eyes never leaving Yone’s fellow student. I didn’t reply.

“I don’t know who you people are, but I suggest you leave before I blow your little shack away.” He said in the same voice that he had used just minutes before. I could see fury in Talon’s eyes as he vanished and appeared behind the intruder.

“I don’t know why the fuck you are here, but no one is going to lay even a finger on Riven. And definitely not you, Yasuo.”

The hatred was definitely there. Whatever connection those two had, it was not a pleasant one. The man called Yasuo didn’t let himself be restrained and broke free easily. “Another piece of Noxian scum. I’ll take you down with her.”

They stared into each others’ eyes with nothing but anger. Everyone was frozen to their spots, too intrigued by the whole situation to move. The silence was interrupted  by the sound of Kayle clearing her throat.

“Yasuo,  The Unforgiven. That is enough. I must speak with you immediately.” Recognition registered on Yasuo’s face as he followed her deeper into the center of the Institute of War. I didn’t know what history happened between Talon and the The Unforgiven. Or how he was going to have an impact on the League of Legends. But what I knew for sure? My life was definitely not going to be the same.
