Waldeinsamkeit
- the feeling of solitude in the woods

"Darling, I just want you safe"

[third person]
You were in your third year, making your way to class like any other day, laughing with your friends as you made your way down to the dungeons. Angelina joking about Snape's hair, per usual. You snorted at what she had just said; Oliver approaching you two, smiling at him, letting Angelina say her goodbyes as she rushed to her class, not realizing she had walked you all the way to the dungeons.

"Fancy seeing you down here." Oliver smiled, walking by your side. You replied with a chuckle, "As if we don't have potions together."

You and Oliver had come to Hogwarts together and immediately gotten close, seeing as you were both sorted into Gryffindor and had almost every class together. You also joined the Quidditch team, as he recommended you to. You were another Chaser, along with Angelina and Alicia, Oliver being the keeper and captain. With all the extra practice Oliver forced the team to have, you were pretty decent. Yet still not enough to beat Slytherin.

You two both walked into Potions, the chilly air immediately making you shiver; Oliver taking notice to this, glancing at you.

"You alright there, Glaiser?" He asked, quite obviously concerned. "Just a tad bit chilly, but again, we are in the Dungeons. I'll be alright." You smiled, taking your seat next to him in the middle row.

You heard a loud bang as Snape entered the room, the class falling to silence, everyone watching as his cloak billowed behind him. You immediately let your cheek rest against your palm, your other hand holding a quill and fiddling with it, your mind occupied somewhere else, ignoring everything the git said.

"Miss Glaiser, is there something more important than learning the importance and proper use of Amortentia?" Snape snarled, your eyes immediately darting up to look at your professor. "No, sir. I'm sorry." You apologized, hearing the class snicker, looking over at Oliver; smacking him gently at his smile. You looked down and began taking notes, finally hearing the bell ring, ignoring what Snape said as you hurried out of Potions.

"So, daydreaming, huh? What about?" Oliver chirped, appearing by your side. "Anything but potions class with that git." You replied dryly, heading back to the Gryffindor common room with him, letting him lead the conversation, only hearing bits and pieces. Your mind had drifted back to what you were thinking about earlier; being able to curl up with a nice book by the fire.

Your thoughts were again interrupted when you heard Oliver say the password, hurrying into the common room and rushing up to the girl's dormitory, grabbing your book that you had recently started. As you headed back down to the common area, you passed Angelina.

"Really y/n, a book already?" she smiled. "What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good book." You replied, hurrying past her, having changed from your school clothes into a soft sweater and some sleep shorts, positioning yourself on the couch, a blanket immediately around your smaller frame. Cracking open the book, you smiled as you felt at peace.

As you started to read, time passed by you, when you felt a presence behind you, the smell of pine and coffee engulfed you. "Hello, Oliver." You smiled, knowing he would wonder how you knew it was him.

"Hello there, y/n. I'm surprised you knew it was me. It's almost time for dinner, would you like to go to the Great Hall or have me take the time and trouble to bring you some food?" He said. "Well if you're offering, food would sound great." You snickered.

"What book could you be more interested in than dinner?" He questioned. "Well Oliver, if you must know." You began, taking a small pause to keep him on his toes before you continued, "it's Pride and Prejudice, a romance novel."

"Sounds boring. Food is way more interesting." He retorted. You laughed, smiling up at him as you tilted your head back, his face now in view. "That, darling, is because you are never going to find love."

The look on Oliver's face made you crack up even more, the slight nickname making him turn red. "Oh, Oliver, you are too easy." You gasped between laughs, standing up, putting a bookmark in the book before closing it, stretching as you stood up. The fire, now closer to you, warming your midriff as you stretched, turning around to meet Oliver's eyes.

"Don't worry, Wood. You'll find a girl to impress and you definitely won't think love is boring then." You stated, folding the blanket carefully and putting it back where you had retrieved it from, heading back to the dormitory to change for dinner. Heading back down and surprised to see that Oliver had waited for you. You smiled and nodded to him, motioning to go for dinner.

"Well, c'mon. You said you were starving. I must feed you before you go mad." You laughed.
