[sunoo; jungwon; ni-ki]

at exactly 5:42 in the afternoon, the sound of the front door opening and closing echoed throughout a small apartment, waking up a certain blonde teenager who was sleeping soundly on the mattress beside a small couch.

"ni-ki, i'm back." the one that entered the apartment says while taking off his shoes and backpack. the younger boy only hummed in response as he sat up with his eyes barely opening.

-"you know, people usually sleep during the night and live their lives during the day. take me for example."

-"yeah, yeah. live a life, you're young, blah blah blah" ni-ki muttered carelessly. "we've been through this many times already, sunoo hyung. i'm fine with how things are right now."

"constantly arguing..." a third voice scoffed. neither of the boys looked at the direction of the corner the third boy was sitting as they continued to argue. "you're right, jungwon-ah. we should stop arguing now." jungwon mumbled to himself in a mimicking voice. if only they would notice him.

"i'm just reminding you, even if you don't want to, you can't continue living like this forever. what will you do if i suddenly remember my past and go back to my previous life?"

this made the blonde teenage freeze for a second as his presence shifted noticeably darker. "you wouldn't." the words left ni-ki's mouth like venom.

"ok, fine. at least go out and get some air. i'm hungry anyways, buy something on the way." sunoo surrendered, startled by the sudden shift in the mood.

"be careful" jungwon says as ni-ki walked through the door but like he expected, there was no response except for the sound of the door closing.

...

it was past 7 in the and the mid-december evening was getting darker. without anything to keep him warm except for the flannel shirt he grabbed on the way out, the boy could see his shaky breath in the cold air of seoul.

the streets were awfully crowded by families and couples spending fun time for the upcoming holiday. ni-ki felt a bit uncomfortable due to the huge amount of people present, but shrugged it off since they all looked busy minding their own business.

"honey, the parade is starting soon, get the kids and let's find a place with a decent view." he heard a women walking past say to her husband.

'a parade? sunoo hyung loves those stuff, should i go get him? we can eat after that...' he thought, but it was cut short by another train of thought as he replayed the conversation he had with the older guy.

the boy brushed his hair back as he sighed. he couldn't understand why the older guy keeps bringing up this so called 'previous life'. was sunoo not happy with the way they are living right now like he was?

like that, the blonde boy walked aimlessly with his mind too occupied to realize that it was very late. he wasn't even sure if he knew where he was.
