You Were Going To Break

You go to the kitchen and Daniel has placed all the food on the table he made salad, lasagna and vegetables. He put all the plates and silverware on the table everyone sat down. You were sitting by Jonah and Daniel was sitting across from  you. Awkwardness is still in the air. You hoped that things may be better. But that was only hope.. sometimes hoping isn't enough ..

You always looked at him a quick second when he wasn't looking at you , every time you looked at him you were still trying to figure him out.

You say "thank you Daniel for the food .. thank you "

Daniel nods and he looks at jonah
"sorry man I forgot you wanted chicken soup today"

Ouch that hurt.. actually tried to be nice for the sake of Christina's and my friendship

Jonah just smiles
"it's cool this is still really delicious thank you Daniel. Uhh y/n is Bambi your favourite movie ?"

Jonah felt it was needed to include you into conversations.

You were playing with your food and when Jonah was speaking to you , you slowly looked at him and a smile grew. You loved Disney movies especially Bambi and you also loved Barbie movies.

"uhh yeah.. I'm a a real child when it comes to Disney movies.. me and my brothers always watched Disney and Pixar movies on our grandmas vhs player "

he smiled
"that's so cute actually and it's definitely not childish. I am a kid for Cars and ninja turtles"
he laughs

You all laughed along except Daniel
He was staring at the middle of the table daydreaming, I suppose and he slowly looked at you and you both kept eye contact. The eye contact lasted 3 seconds, you were the one to break it to look back at your food. You feel like he's trying to play around with your feelings and mess with your head. He's already winning at the messing with your head part.

Daniel shakes his head thinking and  stands up
"you guys continue eating I'm not hungry I'm feeling sick"

He looks at every one as he says that except at you.

You quickly say while standing and leaning over to grab his plate
  "You done all this for us, it's at least I can do, is put your food in the microwave for you-"

he cuts you off
"it's fine , I can do it"

he grabs the plate from your hands and puts it in the microwave and he slams it and walks to his room. His steps were very heavy and cold. You were still standing in the same position you didn't think that actually happened. You were in shock.

You finally got a sentence out without trying to make it sound breaking. You looked down and bit your lip

"Umm.. I'm not hungry either I think I'm gonna go to the guest room and take a nap.."

Your fingers kept tapping the table as you said that

Corbyn touches your arm
"hey,  sit down and let's continue a different conversation okay? "

Zach adds on
"yes and eat. I'm not leaving this table until I see you eat all of it"
he points to your food

You give him a confused look
"ok you are acting like dads again, but what if I'm full-"

Corbyn quickly cuts you off. Geez everyone be cutting you off.
"No butts! You're in our house. Also Christina would want us-" "well me to make sure you are well fed"
he justifies to himself

"Eat. Then you can go watch Bambi"
Jonah says pointing at the living room tv

Jack finally says something
"please eat your food y/n "

You knew you lost this. You sit back down and eat your food. You did felt cared for but at the same time you felt like you were their kid and you were making problems without even meaning to. That whole night you felt everyone's eyes on you. Thinking you were going to break and that'll give them a reason for corbyn and zach to go yell at Daniel.
