Eventually, I drifted off into a troubled sleep, worse than any I'd had recently. When I awoke, I saw a figure sitting next to me. It took a while for me to register who it was, but when I did, my reaction was instantaneous.

"Out. Get out. Leave. Leave now." I shouted, but when I looked at him, I saw his crestfallen face and dried tear tracks. Sirius never cried.

"Look, Moony, please. I'm sorry."

"I don't want to hear it. If I'd have known you were this capricious, I never would've trusted you with this in the first place. Maybe you're just as prejudiced, just as biased as the rest of your family." It was a low blow, and I knew it.

"Look, Snivelly knew, he knew what was underneath the whomping willow, and he went anyway. All I di-"

"Go away, Black."

"Please Remus, Remus please listen to me!"

"I don't want your meaningless excuses. Get out! I can't do this with you right now." Sirius left the room, fresh tears rolling down his face.
