I'm Late

I don't care

Plan packs his things and goes straight to Mean's condo. Plan knocks at the door, 30 seconds later a man with puffy eyes and baggy clothes opens the door.

"Wow, you're not kidding. You look like a hot mess." Plan said.

Mean realize who's the owner of the voice quickly shut the door but he isn't fast enough because Plan pushes the door & grabs his wrist.

"Are you really sick? Or are you just being childish and try to avoid me? Are you disgusted by me? TELL ME!" Plan shouted.

"No, I don't! Now please leave, I'm really sick and tired." Mean said try not to look at Plan's eyes.

"Then why can't you even look at me? Am I that disgusting to you?" Plan gripped Mean's hand tighter.

"No, I don't! I'm just tired. Please leave me alone."

"Okay, I'll leave after you look at my eyes and tell that you're not mad." Plan said.

Mean POV

I can't look at you, I can't stand it. I'll be shattered to pieces the moment I see you. - Mean

"I'm really not mad and you should leave, I don't want you to catch my cold."

"You feel disgusted by me, I knew it! This is why I don't tell you in the first place, I know you'll be like this. I shouldn't have cared about what you think, you're just my business partner. I thought we're friends but you never really cared about my feelings!" Plan said.

"What? So, I'm just your business partner now? Did you say I never cared about your feelings? Maybe you should just shut up because you know nothing. You don't know anything about me. I can't take this anymore. Please leave." Mean said pushing Plan out.

"No! I'm right about you feeling disgusted by me. If not why did you even act like this!" Plan said.

Plan pushes Mean against the wall, cornering him.

"Stop, please! You don't understand!" Mean tries to push Plan out the door but he's too weak.

"Then make me understand!" Plan shouted.

"Stop Plan! Please I'll just make the situation worse. I beg you please leave." Mean said with tears about to fall from his eyes.

"I'll never move until you tell me!" Plan said.

"No! Besides, you said I'm just your business partner right? So why you have to care about what happened to me?" Mean look at Plan ready to be shattered to pieces.

"Well, I work with you. I don't want it to affect our work." Plan said.

Mean POV

Of course! Everything about us is just about work. Somebody help me erase this pain, please. I'm drowning. Help.  - Mean

"Okay then, I promise you. it won't affect our work. Now please leave." I said.

I try not to cry but the tears come anyway.

"GODDAMMIT MEAN! Just tell me!" Plan punched the wall beside Mean.

"It's none of your business Plan! Just ignore it! Just don't care about it!" Mean shouted.

"How can I fucking concentrate if you're like this!" Plan said, pulling Mean's collar.

"You're fucking ignorant! You being childish! You're disgusting!" Plan shouted.

"I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE! You said I didn't care right? What if I tell you that I love you? Would you say I don't care anymore? I care so much that I have to kill my own feelings, I care so much that I have to act normal! I fucking care so much that I let you break me to pieces like this! You're the one who is fucking ignorant! " Mean shouted with tears falling down his eyes.

"And you're right. My feelings are fucking disgusting"

"Mean...I-" Plan wants to say something but Mean pushes him out to the door.

"Don't, just stop. You don't have to say sorry or anything. It's my fault for having these feelings. Just forget it. Forget what happened today. Just act as nothing has happened. I don't want you to pity me. I will try to erase these feelings so you don't have to be guilty. I promise you nothing will change between us. I'll be a good business partner." Mean said.

"Mean, I'm so sorry..." Plan said.

"I said don't!" Mean shut the door.

Plan POV

Mean kept his promise, he really acted as nothing had happened between us. He always smiles at me and makes me comfortable like he always does but I feel that there's a distance between us. When he's close to me I feel that he's far away.

When someone interviewed me, I looked at Mean like I always do, I'm searching for comfort. I always feel calm every time I see his eyes that's why I don't want him to be disgusted by me because I need him to calm myself especially in these situations

I can still see his comforting eyes when I have an interview but after it finishes, his eyes change. I see nothing but cold and expressionless eyes, not even sad or hurt. It's like blank paper. Why do I feel hurt by his actions? Is it because I pity him?

He always smiles and laughs around me but his smiles hurt me the most because I'm no longer the reason he's smiling or laughing. He always forced a smile on me. He said nothing will change but it did. Everything changed...
