Dahnie's P.O.V

I hated the fact that that man was doing to Teddy what he had done to me. Well, almost. I'd been getting raped by him for that past 3 years. Until the 'accident' happened. He got into a car crash. I was in the car when it happened. and I ran out and ran away as fast as I could.

He always told me to never tell anyone what he was doing to me. Because he didn't want to hurt my mom even more. I had no clue why he said 'even more' it bothered me. I always wondered what he did to her. Maybe he did to her what he Did to me and Teddy. I wasn't sure

The day I got home from the hospital was quite weird. Mason and I were in my bedroom, with nothing to say or do. As in the moment the cops pulled up.

I went down with Mason to answer the door.

"Hello Mrs. You are Teddy Madrick's sister, correct?"

My heart was pounding.

"I...I am sir." I couldn't hear my voice over my heart beat.

"Good. I'm officer Cal. May I step in and have a word?" It wasn't much of a question.

"Sure," I gestured the front door open, "Have you found something? Is Teddy alright?" I had so many questions, but I had to limit myself.

"We haven't found anything. Teddy's whereabouts still remain." The officer didn't answer if Teddy was okay.

"Is he okay?" I demanded to know.

"At the moment, ma'am, we are un sure..." I guess that made sense. Kind of.

"Now I just have a few questions for you if that's alright." Officer Cal pulled out a notepad. Mason sat close beside me and grabbed a good grip on my shaking hand.

"Yes." I answered.

"Alrighty. Do you know what Teddy was wearing the day he went missing?"

"A red had, a light blue jacket, red mittens, black pants, and blue shoes." It hurt just saying that.

"Alright. And do you know roughly what time you found out he was gone?" The cop didn't look up from his notepad.

"My mom came home and told me at around 6:10pm"

"Mmhmm. And where is your mother now?" He looked up.

Ah shit.

"She's at work I believe." I answered firmly.

"And may I ask who you are?" Officer Cal looked at Mason.

"Yes sir, I'm Mason. Um, I'm Dahnie's boyfriend..." He held on to my hand even tighter.

Boyfriend? I knew he was just saying that to the cop so he didn't have to explain our friendship, but still. Hearing him say that made me...almost happy.

"Alrighty, do any if you two know any people I could ask that might know something?"

My heart pounded. I knew where the man that abused me lived. Although his name remained, I could lead this police officer to Teddy, and I could save teddy, possibly...

"May we speak alone for a few minutes to think some people up?"

"Sure ma'am, may I search Teddy's room?"

Mason flinched, " don't you need some kind of warrant?"

The officer nodded his head "not for this son. Only your permission."

I jumped in, "well of course. Upstairs to your right, careful the stairs are rusty and old."

The police carefully made his way up stairs. He opened the door to Teddy's room. I saw a glimpse of Teddy's bed and Pooh Bear stuffy. I literally heard my heart tear even more.

Mason pulled me out of my thoughts gently, "lets get ice cream after this."

I smiled, "k. We need to tell this officer who to talk to about this." Mason nodded his head, "we know who it is, Dan." He grabbed my hand and looked me in the eyes. His beautiful soft, yet tough eyes.

"I...Mase we can't. You know what will happe-" "yeah, I do know what will happen Dan. But do you? They'll lock him up and we can run away together."

"Running away is only a dream."

Mason grabbed me and pulled me closer to him, "lets make that dream happen Dan! Me you and Teddy! As a family."

Officer Cal stepped out of Teds room writing things down, "alright. Found a few pictures, going to put them up around town if that's okay." I nodded, officer cal opened his mouth again to speak the words I was dreading to hear, "so, come up with any folks I should be speaking with or asking questions?"

Mason looked at me and watched me as my head fell to the ground, "N-no sir. We haven't thought of any yet. But I'm sure soon we will." I thought, Mason was somewhat right. They would lock him up long enough for Mase, Ted and I to get across the world and get fake ID's.But a fear still approached me. I knew what was right, but I felt what was wrong.

I lifted my head, "on the top of Burery Hill. He'll make you think he's innocent. Search the entire house. Bring back up."

My mouth spoke faster then my mind could think this over. Not one day did I even consider telling the cops where this sex predator lived. But I just did.

Officer looked shocked, he wrote what I said down fast. He asked a few questions, but I couldn't hear over my pounding heart.

"Dahnie, you will have to come with us, stay in a car of course, safe and sound."

"He'll attack me."

"He won't be able to."

I thought of seeing Ted the second he got out of there.

"We leave tomorrow morning. Early."
