Common Lies

Chapter One: Devotion

         Alvin Burton was an unpretentious rancher, he was encompassed with his two endeared daughters Ivy and Hazel ,beside to his kindhearted spouse Aida,they all lived blithely under the very same roof.

Alvin never faced toilsome conditions,he used to work in his own farm with Aida ,while the little girls play in the village with the humble kids.The father was quite known amongst the villagers for his morals due to his decency and rectitude,to them Alvin was examplary,he was charming,robust,and quite successful,he managed to have his own farm,he married a beautiful woman,and he had children,this is the very things a man could wish for,a man like that,indubitably had opponents,to them he was a cheater,it was impossible for them that a man can sparkle in a land where only bleakness and fog prevailed,Alvin never heeded, and he treated them like he treats anyone else.However,the bleak group could not repel the hatred and animosity,hence,they determined to blight the man .One of them approached and said 

''Your business is prosperous Alvin''
''Thank you!'' Alvin answered
'' What is the mystery behind that,magic innit?''
''Yes! Hard work is my magic'' Alvin said.

The man was so irritated because Alvin did not respond the way he was expecting him to,for this reason he pushed him and spitted on his land,his friends giggled and left,Alvin did not say a word,because to him,hatred shall be ignored in order to make it vanish.Alvin reverted to his house,and felt under weather ,and when Aida saw him like that ,she draw near and said :

''Alvin darling what happened''
''Nothing Aida, pay no attention''
''But you are-''
''I said it is okay''
''As you like Alvin , but you know that I will be with you through thick and thin''
''I know,let's hit the sack, I'm haggard''.

     Thereafter, the village was facing a new threat ''The bandits'',thus,the head of the village huddled with the villagers and requested from them to gather the gears and fight together in order to safeguard their land.The bleak group saw that as their opportunity to gash Alvin,henceforth, they settled and decided to kidnap his girls while he goes to fight the bandits with the villagers.Day has arrived,Alvin brought his gear and went to fight alongside with the villagers,while the bleak group went to his place, they found Aida there, she knew that was not a pleasant visit , and suddenly they attacked her, she fought courageously but she could not take down six men , then she fell down and lost her conscious.In the other hand , the villagers stood with their mouths opened watching Alvin fighting like a lion against those bandits , until he forced them to run away.

When he headed back, Alvin found Aida weeping, he asked her what happened,she told him that his daughters were kidnapped by six men.Alvin knew who are they, he went directly to ask for help from the villagers to bring his girls home, but everyone turned his back to him,Alvin realized that this world is crafty , and devoting his life to such people was uncharitable mistake.

Alvin took the gear all alone, he went to the forest because he knew he will find those who kidnapped Ivy and Hazel there, while walking through the woods he found Ivy on the ground all injured , he was never more furious than that day, he held her and hugged her tightly crying, Ivy started hissing
''Ha-Ha-zel''
'' where is your sister Ivy what did they do?''
''The-y , they took her daddy''

Alvin took Ivy back to home and he went straight back to seek for Hazel.Ivy was always tricky that is why she could escape, while Hazel was always fainty and powerless.Alvin continued to search desperately , he found a grimy house, and he could hear the voices of men laughing , he ran straight to them and pulled out his sword, he saw Hazel unconscious tied up ,and scratches covering her body.He was never grumpier than that moment , and he began to cut heads with rage and took Hazel. When he returned back to the village covered with blood , everyone was appalled , they looked at him with fear.Alvin would then learn a lesson, being exquisite was never suitable, and no one in this world deserves his devotion , he would then take his family to leave away from that foggy hellish place to live in the mountains together.
