"Jordyn."
Nothing.
"Jordyn!" The whisper grew louder.
All of a sudden I felt my whole body being shaken. "Jordyn! Wake up!"
I whimpered and groaned softly as I sat up. Then I started to crying as I found every wound that I had on my body start to hurt again.
"Oh thank God you're awake!" Benny sighed. His eyes seemed to stare into mine. He panted softly, as if he had been running or doing something exhausting. "Quick, you need to get up." He threw the blankets I had off of me.
"What are you talking about, Benny?" I moaned softly, rubbing my throbbing head. It seemed as though I was used to it now. But waking up was the hardest part. I would dream of being home, or sometimes of being with Blake, although now he only looked at me when he was digging a knife into my skin...
"I... I overheard Matthews telling Blake he was going to kill you. Your parents haven't responded, Jordyn. He's tired of waiting." His face grew dark in worry and his jaw clenched. Was he really that worried about me?
"Jordyn?" I shook my head, quickly snapping out of it.
"Sorry... What?!" I myself started to shake. Sure the torturing was... Well, torturous. But kill me! What good would that do?!
"They're going to kill you, Jordyn," he said, his voice cracking. His hands gently took mine, like he was afraid to hurt me. Then his eyebrows furrowed and his face became serious. "But I'm not going to let them. I'm going to get you out of here, Jordyn." All of a sudden I felt him scoop me up, like the usual way he did, and bring me close to his chest. Instinctively, I clung onto his shirt. Gosh, I hated how I couldn't walk, feed, bathe, or take care of myself. It was almost as bad as the knife that went through my skin on a daily basis. Except it hurt more mentally...
"What are you doing Benny?" I whispered in a scared voice. I was afraid. I had been in that house for almost two months. As much as I wanted to get out, i was anxious to know what was out there.
"I'm going to take you to my truck and we're going to drive to a motel. From there, we'll find a place we can go to. But we'll have to stay hidden for a while. Matthews's got connections everywhere. Now, be quiet and stay quiet." He held me with one hand and opened the door before his hand returned and he carried me down the hall. I tried to slow and quiet my breathing as he made his way down the hallways and stairs of the house that never seemed as big until now. I let out a small gasp when he stepped on a creaky floor plank. "Shhh..." He reassured, before stepping over it. Soon, we made it to the front door, where once again he took away one had from holding me to open the door.
The door creaked loudly when he opened it. A light upstairs flickered on.
"Ben?" Blake's voice sounded from upstairs. I immediately felt all the blood in my face drain. Benny's arms tightened around me. He jumped out the door and started racing towards his already-running truck. You could heard Blake screaming from inside the house as Benny started to strap me in in the passenger seat.
"Ben! God-dammit Ben!" Blake started saying things I really can't repeat after that. I whimpered as I saw Blake standing in the door way.
"Hurry Benny!" I begged. He ran around the front of the truck and cursed as silenced bullets started flying towards us. He hopped in the front seat, closed the door and we sped off. He didn't bother staying on the road as there wasn't was one. The house was on this huge plot of land that took a while before we finally came upon the highway. It was silent the whole time until Benny decided to say something.
"They'll be on our trail soon... You okay?"
