If I was going to confess to anyone, it might as well be Marlee. She was kind, and sweet.

She would understand. I saw her with Carter.

I patted the spot next to me, and she timidly walked over.

"I need to tell you something."

She nodded, fully intent on listening.

"I'm in love." I confessed. She laughed.

"Of course," she put her hands up like it was obvious. "Maxon!"

"No." I whispered.

"Who?" she asked, suddenly intrigued.

"A guard named Tomas." I confessed.

She giggled.

Then she left, giving me a wink and thumbs-up. I smiled. I raced down the hall, to the guards' quarters. Many guards protested, but I shoved them aside, asking the carefree ones about Tomas.

"Where?" I inquired a nearby guard, who shrugged slightly and pointed in the other direction I was running.

One guard was leaning against a post, chewing on a tart with his hat down. His voice was deep and gruff.

"Tomas? Tomas Davila?" he looked at me strange.

"Yes." I said, out-of-breath.

"He left." he told me.

"NO!" I sank to the floor, my head in my hands.

I started sobbing. I wiped away the tears. I never cried. I started to stand when the guard looked down at me.

He picked me up and placed me in a room. He brushed his bronze hair, his skin glittering from the oil he had rubbed on his body. EDWARD! JK.

He lifted his head. "Why do you need Tomas?"

"Because, I love him."

"Say that one more time?" he asked.

"I LOVE TOMAS DAVILA!" I screamed. He took his hands in mine and lifted his head.

"I do, too."

I shrieked happily, embracing him. His fingers were soft and light, not like the other men I've dated.

I whipped my hair around and kissed him. All of those feelings I had piled up inside of me were melting, coming out in one large heap.

My brown hair strayed to my back, and he pushed the kiss further. The door opened.

"Tomas!" a guard yelled. His pin said Avery.

"Go away!" Tomas yelled, as I covered him with tiny kisses.

I snickered. Tomas was here, in my arms. I could never let him go.

That was Celeste's Happily Ever AFter.
