27: New friend

With the continous ringing coming from my phone, I finally decided to dismiss the third alarm.

I think its time I wake up, or I'm going to be late.

4:50pm

Dragging myself from the couch, I walked upstairs to take a shower.

The water feeling warmer than usual, made me stand in the shower longer than intended.

Knowing that if I keep standing I won't get out, I pushed my body out of the shower, into the cold air of the bathroom.

Getting in the room, I checked the time, which persuaded me to move faster.

5:20pm

I don't even know why time is running that fast. Rushing to put my clothes on, I quickly stumbled downstairs and checked the fridge for something to eat.

Not having time to admire the food mew set aside for me, I pulled it out and almost choked myself from the forced eating.

Grabbing a bottle of water, I ran out the house.

Finally reaching the office, I tried to collect myself before I could head into the building.

Checking myself in my mirror, I combed my slightly messy hair with my fingers, applying lip balm to my almost dried lips.

Getting out the car, I made my way in the building.

Like usual, my co-workers greeted me and unlike what I usually do, I smiled back at each of them and said hi.

Getting in the elevator, I felt a bit happier. More and more people loaded the elevator, then the doors finally closed.

Waiting for my floor, which is the highest floor in the building, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

Looking to the side I felt the movement coming from, stood a young woman almost my age.

"Hello, p'gulf are you running late today?"

Since I feel so happy I just decided to have a conversation with her.

"Yes I'm not late yet. I still have 5 minutes." I said smiling back at her. By the way, how do you know me?"

"Who doesn't know you phi. When you took over for assisted Ms.Krista when she was on her leave, you constantly visited different departments and became quite popular amongst our colleagues."

I smiled at her compliment.

"I hope no, one is speaking ill of me."

"Oh no. At first everyone thought you were a model touring the building or something, but we later came to realize that you worked here."

"I'm that handsome huh?"

"Very much so phi. I have a question."

"Yes."

"Well my colleagues and I were wondering if you're in a relationship. If you aren't then would you like to have lunch with us one day."

I usually don't like to stomp of people's dreams but I'm already in a relationship.

"Well, unfortunately for you guys I'm already taken. But feel free anytine to come to my desk, and ask me to accompany you guys to lunch. I'm searching to be more social."

"Really? Okay then. I'll tell them about you."

It seems like I forgot to ask about her name.

"I'm sorry but I forgot to ask for you name."
