I flipped my phone open and texted the unknown number that was now saved into my contacts.

To: Unknown
From: Anthoni Louis

What's missing? How do you know?

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

It's me; that should explain everything.

I groaned and walked out of the rain, leaning against a building as I ran my fingers furiously through my damp hair. I slammed my fist into the wall behind me and texted back.

To: Unknown
From: Anthoni Louis

That explains nothing.

To: Unknown
From: Anthoni Louis

Bloody.

To: Unknown
From: Anthoni Louis

Nothing.

I wanted, oh SOOO badly to throw my phone out into the rain. To smash it to a billion pieces right there and right bloody then, but alas Unknown beat me to it. The phone buzzed in my hand and I couldn't help but look.

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

Good...

"This phone could be garbage right now if it weren't for you, you bloody - " My phone buzzed several times consecutively. Two messages were awaiting responses on my phone:

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

I won't explain over text; no, there wouldn't be time for that...

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

Meet me at Luigi's at 6:30, come alone.

I was about to reply when:

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

Oh, and don't worry about the police, you can trust me...or, your curiosity will...

To: Unknown
From: Anthoni Louis

What makes you think I'll show up?

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

Your curiosity will get the better of you. It always does. Unless, of course, you actually have plans for tonight. It's your choice, really.

I stood up straight, sending a quick text back:

To: Unknown
From: Anthoni Louis

Trust me, I don't have plans...

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

Brilliant.

To: Anthoni Louis
From: Unknown

Then I'll see you at 6:30.

SJ

SJ? What's SJ? I thought to myself.

Initials...initials...

"Why do they look so familiar?" I shouted out loud. Thankfully, New York is a very busy place and it went noticed only momentarily. I flipped my phone shut and shoved it into my pants' pocket. I trudged up the street, running for my not-too-distant destination: Luigi's.
