After my shower that took way longer than it should have, I get dressed in some leggings, a white t-shirt, and a maroon cardigan. As I am drying my hair with my towel a notification on my phone goes off. I check it to see another text from Angie. She has texted me three times since I hoped in the shower. Was my shower that long?

Angie 💜

Just let me know when you're ready to call! I'm just sitting watching some TV.

How much longer will you be?

Girl! How long is this shower???? There's no need to shave, it's wintertime. We wear pants all the time now.

Classic Angie. I love her, but she can be so damn impatient. Looking at my previous text I sent her before I got in the shower, I realized it had been more than 40 minutes. No wonder she's texting me so much. When I get lost in my thoughts in the shower I really get lost. I'm an overthinker.

One time when I got my first lens upgrade for my camera, I took almost an hour shower because about 40 minutes was just me thinking about all the new shots I could do with that lens and how much better my photos would turn out. I guess Niall just really left me wondering who he is and why he is here in Evergreen and why he is that interested to get coffee with me

I'm so sorry! I was thinking in the shower and you know how long my showers become. You'll see soon! Just give me like 10 minutes so I can heat up my food okay.

I sent my text to Angie and I make my way down the stairs to the kitchen. I just heat up my penne alla vodka that I had made the other day. I pour myself a decent glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Can't have pasta and not have a nice glass of wine to pair with it.

Shortly after sitting down my phone lights up showing a FaceTime call from Angie. She wasted no time calling me. It has literally been 10 minutes since I texted her. Angie tends to get very excited and impatient about some things. I just know she wants to know about how my meeting went with Marie. If she's so excited about that wait until I tell her everything else that happened after my meeting.  Taking a big gulp from my wine glass I accept her call.

"Hey, Nikki!! I miss you!" Angie practically screams. She just saw me a few hours ago. I get we didn't have much conversation but she's acting like it has been days that's just her personality. I'm grateful to have a friend that is excited to talk to me.

"Hey, girl! How did your photoshoot go?"

"They went well. Obviously, the ones I had to do with a baby were a little frustrating but that's always what ends up happening. I always feel bad because the parents end up apologizing so much. They can't control their baby that much. But everything went smooth and I have just been editing in the meantime."

"Trust me I feel you on that but with animals. I love taking photos of dogs but sometimes they never want to stay still."

Angie always ended up taking the clients who needed pictures with their baby while I was the one to do animals. We had our specialties and let me tell you that she knows how to get a baby's attention and get them focused on the camera. Obviously, there are some clients for me that end up wanting a shoot with their baby and I won't turn them away. I just would not be able to do the number of shoots Angie does with babies and young children.

"Also I hope you don't mind that during our call I'm eating dinner. I needed a shower and wanted to get that out of the way." I pick up my wine glass to take a sip.

"Of course that's fine. Is that Sauvignon Blanc you're drinking?"

"You know me so well! Let me guess you have some Merlot?"
