Summary: Todoroki gets Bakugo a gift for his birthday 

This chapter was supposed to be posted for Bakugo's birthday but school got in the way of that so accept this second update as an apology :)

3rd Person POV

Todoroki has a crush on the short tempered blonde known as Katsuki Bakugo for quite a while now but he didn't know how to approach him

They hung out with each other as long as an additional other person was present but never alone 

Todoroki blamed it on his nerves getting the best of him for the most part but there was much more to it 

The blonde never had alone time with the rest of his 'Bakusquad' hanging around them and when he finally caught Bakugo sitting alone he would be asleep on the couch in the common room clutching a pillow

And with Bakugo's birthday coming around the corner, Todoroki told himself he couldn't hold his feelings back any longer 

The split-haired male made his way down the hallway, walking to his dorm room as thoughts began to swarm his head 

'Will he like me back?'

'I need to find a way to talk to him'

Todoroki sighed and placed his hand on the door handle, but before he could open it Kirishima stopped him 

"Hey man! a few friends and I were gonna throw Bakugo a surprise party for his birthday and wanted to know if you wanted to join," the red head asked 

Todoroki's eyes visibly widened

This was the opportunity he had been looking for to finally speak to his crush

"Of course."

"Awesome, but there's one thing we really need you to do," Kirishima added 

"And that is?" Todoroki asked 

"Keep him busy."

The rest of the week Todoroki spent his time stressing about how he could keep Bakugo busy while 1-A put together a small party for him 

I mean he's never even held a convo with the blonde longer than 10 minutes, anything could go wrong 

But on Bakugo's birthday, the split-haired male pushed his doubts to the side and walked over to the blonde

I can do this

"Hey Bakugo," Todoroki called, walking over to Bakugo's desk 

"What do you want Icy hot?" he questioned 

"I wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out in my dorm," Todoroki replied 

Bakugo stared at the taller male with a questioning look on his face 

"Tch, sure why not, it's not like I have anything better to do anyway."

The two of them sat on Todoroki's futon in silence playing a game of Uno

Other than the occasional 'draw four' card that required them to say what color they wanted, neither of them said a word 

Todoroki was relieved he didn't have to speak much but expected Bakugo to be a little...angrier like he was in class 

Instead he was calm and didn't even yell at the taller male when he made Bakugo lose the first two games in a row   

"Hey Icy hot?" Bakugo called, looking up from his deck, pulling the two-toned male out of his thoughts

"Yeah?" he replied 

"Why'd you ask me to hang out? I mean you barely even talk to me," the blonde stated slightly frowning  

Todoroki stilled for a moment and turned his head to the side, letting his hair completely cover his face 

'I can't tell him about the party'

'Maybe I can give him the gift I got early' he thought  

"I know you don't really care about your birthday and all but I wanted to give you something," Todoroki said

"Well get on with it," Bakugo grumbled 

Todoroki stood up and walked over to his closet, opening the doors to retrieve a bag 

"Close your eyes," 

"Are you fuc-"

"Just close your eyes please," Todoroki begged 

Bakugo sighed and closed his eyes, his Uno cards long forgotten 

The blonde heard shuffling as the taller male walked back to where the blonde was sitting and crossed his legs to sit directly infront of him 

"Open," he stated 

Backugo's crimson eyes opened to see the two-toned male sitting infront of him holding a large black bag that was stuffed with orange tissue paper 

The blonde reached forward to pull the paper out and reached in to feel a soft and fluffy object 

"Is that what I think it is?" he asked 

Todoroki blushed as Bakugo pulled the item out of the black back 

It was a teddy bear, one with dark brown fur and clothes with colors that matched Bakugo's here costume 

"Happy Birthday Bakugo, I hope you like it," Todoroki said smiling lightly 

If any other person gave Bakugo a teddy bear he would've probably caused a scene, but the fact that Todoroki gave him something made his heart skip a beat 

"I like it alot...thanks," the blonde stated, hugging the stuffie close

"Why a teddy bear tho?" Bakugo asked 

"Well I know you can be a little aggressive at times  but I don't see you as that, I see you as someone  who's passionate about things and soft like a teddy bear," Todoroki replied 

Bakugo blushed, "How can you be so straightforward about things?"

"I just like to say what's on my mind," he smiled 

"With the way you're talking I almost think you have a crush on me," Bakugo said smirking

This time it was Todoroki's turn to blush 

"What if I did?" he questioned 

"What do you mean?" the blonde asked 

"What if I told you I had a crush on you for a while and just didn't know how to say it?" the two-toned male asked 

"Then I would tell you you're an idiot for not saying anything sooner," Bakugo replied 

"Wait, so you don't care?" Todoroki asked 

"No dumbass, don't be so full of yourself!" he yelled

Todoroki laughed while Bakugo glared at hime 

"What's so funny?" he asked 

"I didn't expect telling you would be so easy," Todoroki said 

"Well you better get used to it, now wrap the bear back up so I can show these losers how cool Explosion Murder Jr. looks,"
