Chapter 4: Rotten Past

In the last chapter, commander sends out Yorktown sister to scout the north, west and southern sea near the base for any Sakuran carrier fleet they spread out with their own escort ship to maximize their success rate. After 15 minutes of radar scanning and aerial patrol they still can't find the fleet that responsible for the attack

Yorktown: Enterprise, Hornet come in over

Enterprise: Enterprise here

Hornet: Hornet here

Yorktown: i can't find anything except a huge storm cloud

Hornet: didn't find anything too

Enterprise: yeah they probably already returning back, we should head back too

Yorktown: alright meet you at the base Yorktown out

Back at the base the commander is in the infirmary helping Vestal tending the wounded girls

Commander: how are their conditions?

Vestal: they have to stay on the bed for a few weeks

Commander: how about Javelin?

Vestal: she suffered minor damage and will be discharged tonight

Commander: really? She was slammed to a wall

Vestal: yes but you need to remember that we are ship commander, we're not gonna get broken bones from being slammed to a wall

Commander: i have no idea about that logic but ok then, can i see her?

Vestal: sure

The commander goes into a room where Javelin is and surprised that she already awake. Vestal decides to leave both of you alone

Commander: hey there Javelin

Javelin:.....

Commander: Javelin?

Javelin: ah commander i didn't see you there

Commander: it's okay, how is it going?

Javelin: im fine you don't have to worry about me

Javelin spoke those word with her usual energetic voice but her face indicates that she is hiding something

Commander: hmm is there something wrong?

Javelin: ah no really im fine!!

Commander: you don't sound very convincing though

After that Javelin breaks down in tear

Commander: hey hey what's happening did something hurt?

Javelin: im sorry commander

Commander: about what?

Javelin: i failed to protect you

Commander: hey it's not your fault

Javelin: of course it is!!!, my job is to protect the commander and i have failed doing it, who knows what's gonna happen if Ms Wales is not in the area

Commander: hey you did your job with all power you have and i thank you for that so right now wipe your tear and smile like you always do

Javelin wipe her tears and look at the commander, she smiles and then commander said

Commander: now Javelin i want you take a rest and tomorrow i will wait for you in my office, and be sure to smile okay?

Javelin: yes commander, Javelin will do her best!!!
