The two boys were huddled together, their backs against the seats of Hyunwoo's car as they stared into the sky. But Hyunwoo wasn't looking at the stars in the sky. He was looking at the stars in his lover's eyes. The younger's eyes were bright and wide as stars reflected in them. Hyunwoo saw nothing but endless galaxies as he gazed into the younger's eyes.

"Kihyunie?"

Kihyun turned his head upon hearing his name, his deep, dark brown eyes gazing lovingly into Hyunwoo's.

"Yes, my love?"

The older smiled, gently caressing Kihyun's cheek.

"What's on your mind?" he asked, his voice as kind as always.

Kihyun smiled, letting out a soft sigh. "Mm... you."

He was surprised when Hyunwoo suddenly leaned forward, softly connecting their lips together. Kihyun kept his arms wrapped around Hyunwoo's neck as they kissed softly and passionately. Moonlight shone through the car windows. Hyunwoo brushed Kihyun's hair out of his eyes before they broke apart. Kihyun's stomach fluttered as Hyunwoo pressed another kiss on his forehead and began leaving more gentle kisses on his neck.

"W-what are you doing?" Kihyun stuttered, his cheeks suddenly flushing red as Hyunwoo moved up to kiss the side of his jaw.

Hyunwoo paused and chuckled deeply, causing Kihyun's heart to race even more.

"I can't show my love for you?" he teased.

Kihyun blushed again.

"You drive me crazy," he whispered, nestling himself into the crook of the older's neck.

"I know," Hyunwoo whispered back.

They remained this way, Kihyun laid in Hyunwoo's arms as the older began to hum softly, causing the younger to doze off. Hyunwoo thought for a moment, debating whether or not he should sit up. He knew that he should probably start getting them both home. He moved slowly so he wouldn't disturb his boyfriend and made sure that the younger was safely fastened in his seat before he began to drive. He enjoyed driving at night, especially with Kihyun. Kihyun worked so hard as a teacher at the local daycare, it brought a smile to Hyunwoo's face to see that Kihyun was sleeping peacefully. He found himself lost in a dream when his head suddenly whipped forward as he felt a crushing impact against the door and the car jolted. He slammed onto the brake pedal and the car stopped moving, his veins filled with adrenaline as he gasped shakily. Part of the glass window had shattered. Hyunwoo's cheek bled. He looked out the broken window to see a silver truck.

"Hyunwoo?" Kihyun's voice was laced with sleep as well as a hint of fear. He had awoken when the car had been hit.

"Everything's going to be okay, Kihyun," the older said, his voice strong, steady, and assuring.

Kihyun's eyes were filled with tears as he saw blood running down his lover's face and he reached for Hyunwoo's hand. Hyunwoo was smiling softly as he let out a shaky breath of relief.

There was suddenly a loud screech and his vision was flooded with a bright, piercing light. Kihyun drew his hand back and squeezed his eyes shut, hearing the loud shattering of glass. He heard the faint siren of an ambulance and suddenly the urgent chattering of nurses as he drifted in and out of consciousness. Everything sounded muffled, as if he had been submerged underwater. Then he opened his eyes to a white room, tears running down his face as he remembered the devastation of reality.

Hyunwoo was dead.

While Kihyun was alive.
