I have decided that I am only going to write in here when something significant happens in order to not get an aching hand every evening after writing everything up. As you can tell from this title, something significant did happen and I was involved in it! I was woken up by Jarvis at 7 am and was absolutely shattered so I manage to persuade Tony to let me have an extra half an hour. When I finally did get up I did my usual run in the gym where I was joined by Nat, who was boxing, and Steve who was lifting weights. They were certainly impressed with how long I was on the running machine for and Steve even questioned if I had an ounce of super-soldier in me which I just laughed at. Stupidly I allowed Steve to give me a session of weight lifting after running which resulted in me being absolutely exhausted by the end of it! We then all left and got ready for the day and I was planning on talking to Peter but he had gone back to Queens for school so I dodged a bullet there. I was about to ask Hawkeye for an archery lesson when Tony came and told me that I had my first mission to complete. Those were the words I have been waiting in anticipation to hear so I leapt after him as he walked over to Pepper. After pouring himself a drink, at 11 am, he told me that at first I will be "working alongside Pepper who is the CEO of Stark Industries." I don't mean to sound unappreciative but I was rather hoping to actually be a part of a mission with the others but I guess Tony only wants the best for me and I have to work my way up there. Pepper showed her eagerness at having some more help by someone so I guess it will be a great way for me to get to know her a bit more! Before I could show my appreciation, Steve entered with a stony face and demanded to know what was going on. I told him that "my first mission is helping Pepper with paperwork" in order to reduce the look of anger on his face which I did not understand. But unsurprisingly my plan backfired spectacularly and Steve had a full blown argument with Tony about how I should be training in case there is a mission soon. Tony was not keen at first but after Steve asserted his power over him stating that he would train me, I suppose Tony had no option but to agree with him. During the course of this argument I couldn't help but feel giddy with excitement. This excitement wired my body like I was plugged into the mains. I felt like my brain was on fast-forward and there was no off switch. Steve guided me away as I seemed to have become glued to the ground due to the adrenaline that was coursing through my veins. As much as I wanted to start training with Steve straight away, I was in agony from the weights this morning so I was allowed to have a relaxed afternoon instead of a taxing one down in the basement with Steve. I played chess with Vision twice and lost twice which was rather embarrassing and then told Nat all about the training that I did in order to apply for the army. However I think I overstepped when I asked her about her upbringing as she went silent but put a brave face on and said that she didn't like to talk about it. Once she had gone to get a drink I was told by Dr Banner how no one knows anything about her past and she wants to keep it that way. This then somehow escalated into a conversation about how Dr Banner came to be in contact with gamma radiation and how as a result he now becomes "the Hulk." After dinner, which was just finishing up things as Jarvis had forgotten to place an order for a food delivery, which he is subsequently now doing tomorrow, we said goodbye to Thor who was returning to Asgard for a while. Once he had decimated an area outside to get back home, we all went in and I overheard a conversation between Tony and Pepper where Pepper thought it was cute that Steve wanted to train me, whereas Tony thought he was just doing it for the sole purpose of having another member for missions. Whatever reason is the right one I certainly didn't expect Steve to be so angry this morning at Tony. But they both have good intentions so of course that will bring them into conflict at times when they can't agree on the best plan of action. Anyway I am rambling and need to have an early night as tomorrow I am going to be tortured by Steve in the gym! But I can't wait to spend more time with him! I sent MJ a text to reassure her that I was still 'playing it cool' with Steve and now I am going to bed.
