It was the little things. The things people couldn't notice unless they paid attention closely. The things only I noticed. The things you would only let me see.
Your smile
Your laugh
The way your eyes would light up
How soft your skin is
How gentle your hold is on me
Your caring and safe words that you would whisper to me when we were alone.
All of those things
were slowly slipping through my fingers. They were slowly becoming a fading memory I try to desperately hold on to.
You don't smile anymore
You don't laugh anymore
Your eyes are now cold when you look at me
I can't seem to remember how your skin feels on mine anymore
The embraces you used to hold me in no longer exist
The only words I hear from you are ones that make my heart crack.
Is it because you found someone else?
Did you get bored of me already?
I personally thought things were going well. I was happy and I thought you were too.
I love you.
I just thought you loved me too.

Music played in the background as a girl with H/C hair sat on the floor. Her back was against her bed, eyes teary as she stared at the ceiling. No make up was on her face, her hair loose and messy. Red stained her cheeks and puffy eyes, lips chapped and dry. In her hands was a letter. One that could change her life.
It read:
Dear Y/N L/N, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into University Of California........
She was accepted. It was hard for her to process. Yes, she had applied, but she didn't think she would actually get accepted. Her family was yet to be informed about this, Y/N still not sure if she would go. If she did choose to go, she would have to move away to America.
Away from her family
her friends
from him.
Her friends and family would tell her to go. That this is a huge opportunity for her to pass up on. She had only told a handful of people that she was applying for a school in America, not even considering that she would get in.
It didn't matter anyways. She didn't want to go. She wanted to stay with her friends and family.
She wanted to stay for him.She wanted to stay for her boyfriend, Kiyoomi Sakusa.
The boy who made her world burst in color. The boy who made stormy nights magical. The boy who made her forget what being sad felt like. The boy who she loves.
Her heart began to ache when she thought about him, tears falling down her tired looking face.
These past few weeks,
Her world didn't seem all that colorful anymore. Stormy nights made her feel scared and alone. Feeling sad didn't feel so foreign anymore.
A soft sigh left her lips as she wiped away her tears, picking herself from the ground. She took a glance at the clock on her nightstand, trying to ignore the picture of her and Sakusa that was framed.
