Santa Jeon (Jikook)

(6) christmas day

Little feet running in the distance could be heard throughout the Jeon house, Minju and Junseo were clearly wide awake, bright and early as the two fathers expected, and it was understandable because they were too anxious to sleep another second, too excited to open their presents to lay in bed for another moment.

The children's joyous laughter reached Jimin and Jungkook's hearing and before they could even think of getting up the two small humans ambushed their way into their room and threw their little bodies onto their giant bed.

"Good morning daddies and Merry Christmas!" Minju and Junseo cheered in unison as they scooted in between the two sleepy adult males. "Good morning my loves and Merry Christmas." Jungkook said chuckling when he felt Minju snuggling up against his taller frame.

"Daddy, you missed Santa last night! It was so cool, he gave us presents, he said nice things and he hugged us! He's really squishy and really tall." Minju told Jungkook who was smiling at her precious face. Her eyes were shining brighter than the lights on the Christmas tree, and it was exactly what Jungkook wanted to witness this early morning.

"Wait, you're telling me that Santa came to our house? When I was asleep?" Jungkook asked, playing the confused parent very well. Minju sat up in the bed and nodded her head, getting Junseo to leave Jimin's arms to do the same. "Oh no, but I was tired from work, Jimin why didn't you wake me?" Jungkook exclaimed.

The taller sat himself up and gazed over at Jimin who was giggling and shrugging his shoulders. "The betrayal, and from my own family, unbelievable. Well, as long as you three got to see him then I guess I can't be too upset over missing out on the fun." Jungkook expressed with a pout.

"I'm sorry daddy." Junseo told his father with true sadness in his big doe eyes. The small child was feeling guilty for excluding him, still unaware that it was his taller father who was the one dressed up as Santa Claus the entire time. Jungkook brought his son into his lap, he ruffled the child's messy raven hair and pinched his cheeks getting him to giggle.

"Don't worry love, I said it was okay." Jungkook iterated. "Now let's go see what's in those presents. I know that you two really wanna open them because neither of you are ever this loud and smiling when it's time to get up for school." Jungkook snickered to Junseo and Minju who were accepting the true accusations because their young minds were only thinking of unraveling gifts.

The two happy children threw their hands into the air, cheering with glee as they began bouncing over the bed with their cute little giggles floating around them. Jimin and Jungkook watched Minju and Junseo's energetic bodies bounce once last time before they were quickly rolling off the bed like adorable little armadillos.

"Come on daddies!" They exclaimed and in seconds the young people were dragging their fathers out to stand on their own feet. Jimin put the children on pause for a brief moment as he switched into Christmas pajamas and had Jungkook do the same so that they could all match.

"Okay, now we are ready." Jimin said, unpausing Minju and Junseo who wasted no time in moving them towards the opened doors. Jimin and Jungkook held giant grins on their faces, their children had released their hands and raced each other down the stairs.

"Walking you two, the presents aren't going anywhere!" Jimin told them with his melodic giggles. He linked his fingers with Jungkook's and leaped up on his tippy toes to give his lover the sweet and daily morning kisses before joining their children.

Minju and Junseo were kneeling in front of the Christmas tree, rattling the gift in an attempt to guess what was in there, both of them wishing that their list wasn't ignored. "Hold on my bunnies, no opening them just yet because we need pictures. Jungkook, honey go get your camera please." Jimin told his lovely family.

The two children were pouting their lips, still holding onto the box they wanted to open first as Jimin made his way towards them. The smaller father was fixing Minju and Junseo's messy raven strands with his fingers, telling them to pick the eye boogers out and caressing their cute faces until his husband reappeared with his equipment.

"Okay, everyone gather around the tree and give me your biggest smiles." Jungkook announced and requested. He placed the tripod down and began adjusting the timer on the camera, he was watching through the screen as his beautiful husband and two precious children got into position for the routine family photo.

The Jeon family never missed a chance to capture their happiest moments and they had dozens of full albums as proof of it. "Perfect! Everyone, stay just like that. Junseo you're getting so tall, Minju you're smile is so radiant and Jimin, wow you are flawless like always baby." Jungkook commented with the cheesiest rabbit-like grin on his face.

Jungkook turned his attention back to his family that were frozen in place, he was cherishing the wonderful vision of the three and feeling truly awestruck over their existence. "Come on Kookie, get over here already." Jimin beamed with a chuckle getting Jungkook to finally click the button and move towards them.

Minju and Junseo were holding each other's hands as they stood in front of their fathers who had their hands resting on their small shoulders. "Okay, three, two, say cheese!" Jungkook exclaimed enthusiastically and the perfect family of four were smiling widely at the camera, showing off their immense happiness because every year together was a blessing.

Jungkook rushed over to the camera after it flashed, and he let out a sigh of relief when he noticed that the photo turned out great. Most of the time one of the children wasn't looking in the right direction or closing their eyes just as the picture was captured making them have to redo it over and over, but that was not the case this time.

Jimin and Jungkook's babies were growing up, learning to be more tolerant of the rules and willing to stand paralyzed for a few long seconds for family photos and it brought warmth to the father's heart. Jungkook was proud of his two little children, content with who they were becoming because he and Jimin were raising them well, loving them right and supporting their hopes and dreams.
