Maybe it was stupid, maybe it was her fault in the end and the only one she could blame, once again, was herself. I mean, who else was stupid enough to encourage Fred and George to even attempt to double-cross Dumbledore. All in all, she had remarked as she sat beside them, that if there was one look that they didn't look good in, it was the long grey beard that almost rivalled Dumbledores. Fred and George, however, didn't find her comment amusing and added another tally to the reasons why they didn't like Cedric, as what seemed like the entire Hogwarts population, listened as a Hufflepuff told them that he had crossed the age line without sprouting a single grey hair and put his name in the goblet.

The Beauxbatons students were just about to put their names in when the four of them returned, Fred and George without their silver beard. She left their side as they watched them put their names and walked up to Cedric who was sitting on the Hufflepuff table, his friends at his legs. She slid next to him and nudged her elbow into his ribs, earning a look from. "Have you done it, then?" she asked as Fleur Delacour put her name in.

"First thing in the morning."

"You didn't even wait for me."

"I doubt your friends would have let you cheer for me."

Fred and George and Lee stood at the Gryffindor table casting dark looks of betrayal at her. She stuck out her tongue but they pretended not to notice her.

"Nevermind them, they're just jealous."

"Not jealous. The Gryffindors don't want me as the Hogwarts champion."

"Honestly, sometime them to act as if they own this bloody school. They act more prejudiced than Slytherins, sometimes," She huffed.

"Don't get all riled up, kiddo." He stretched his legs across the bench below him and his eyes lingered unintentionally on Samuel berry, a Ravenclaw who was a part of Cedric's unfortunate love triangle between him and  Cho Choi. "Haven't you confessed already?" she asked, her eyes now joining his as they checked out Samuel.

"It's harder than it seems."

"Samuel is diamonds compared to Cho. you can't be that blind to see it, Ced. Cho hasn't gotten anything compared to him."

"she isn't all that bad and I don't even know if Samuel is into me, for all I know he could be as straight as a pole or just not interested."

"Ced, the only way to find out is to open your mouth and confess. If it's a no, then it's his loss, not yours."

"Alright, matchmaker, enough about my love life. I heard a rumour you and Thomas called it quits. I mean, I'm not surprised, my gaydar might be half as strong but I'd say it works pretty well. "
