The government has sent out a virus that wiped out half the population. It was initially just to affect the less fortunate but the pandemic has proven that otherwise.
With that they devised a plan where they would finally explore the abyss the planet was in. It didn't matter if their guinea pigs would come back alive, didn't matter if they'd get hurt, they just need the ethiopia they've longed for. Where everyone was wealthy, as their original blueprint suggests.
10 years in the making and only now is this taking place. Every tax the American individual pays funded the building of the ships and the gear used, and every money they've earned from bombing country to country, threatening, helped as well.
They've telecasted this so called 'event' or 'revolution' and not to be surprised, the wealthy were relieved. They knew their authority wouldn't disappoint... them, the wealthy.
People sent to these missions were the remaining poor — usually, goverment employees they felt weren't needed anymore, and even people who are with them in the table assuming the man would commit treason.
Dividing these chosen people into ten, they are sent out on different dates with different missions and directions. They require each team to fix anything themselves, they could only document... no communication, if they succesfully (whole-bodied, maybe injured but still alive and breathing) carried out the mission which is to land in the potential ethiopia, they must build a base no matter what danger they are in, they must, in any circumstances, build a base where the table can further document the potential ethiopia. Lastly, the team must stay there for a week to test whether a human can survive and then, only then, can the table consider the team's objective complete and they are given the permission to return... that's if... they can.
The problem is, this is starting next month. The less fortunate and the middle class are prone to their recruiting, only now have these two classes understood each other. There was no more liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, all of these were erased. It was a thing of the past, no more discrimination, they had to work together as all of them knew they had something to contribute to this.

I wrote this half asleep, yes, in the verge of slimber. Can you believe it? Well I don't.... anyway, I loved this and I am extremely proud of it. I recently joined an au group or something because 'I'm so good at writing stories' and 'it helps my writing', my cousin persuaded so ueah this is where it came from. Yes, it's an among us au 😜✌️...... chile, anyway so...
