In the small cabin that was built for the Dreemurr family is where they woke up. Chara shared a room with their brother, Asriel, in the cabin. Chara rubbed their tired eyes as they sat up from the uncomfortable bed that they laid on. But Chara wouldn't want to be anywhere else, as this is their family, the only family that they knew. The barely dawn light hit the floor in front of Chara, as they looked down on it, dazed. Their feet softly hit the cold, wooden floor as they stood up from their bed. Chara walked quietly in front of the other bed, Asriel's bed.

Chara always wakes up quite early, if they even sleep at all, so they get to see Asriel in his most vulnerable moment. Chara always thought Asriel was too soft, and just seeing him there proves their point. So defenseless, so weak, so.... Killable.... That's why Chara has to protect him, away from any danger. A gut feeling Chara has is that this "school" is going to end badly, as all humans are evil, including them self. Chara even tried to convince Mr. Dad and Mrs. Mom to not let them go, but the royal parents reassured the child that it would be okay.

Chara glanced over at the small window in the room, it was slightly ajar. Curiously, they walked over to the window and opened it ever so slightly. On the wind sill, there was a messy ink painting on a piece of parchment of a blue flower. Chara smiled as they picked it up with their hands gently, remembering their time underground. Waterfall was really beautiful, especially with the echo flowers. Chara notices Asriel's signature in the ancient monster writing which they learned when they fell into the underground. Frowning, they put it back down, this school is trying to change the monsters, to be as cruel and as horrible as humans are.

A small yawn came from the fluffy prince behind the human child, making them turn around to see Asriel sitting up. His paws were rubbing his eyes, that turned to look at Chara.

"Up already?" The prince of monsters asked. "You could've woken me up! After all it's the first day of school!"

"Yeah... About that..." Chara started as they looked away from those sparkling eyes.

"No Chara... We are not skipping..."

"Come on! It's just going to be boring, human stuff is just ew!"

Asriel sighed as he got off the bed and walked over to the window and closed it. "Just give it a chance, for me?"

Chara's greatest weakness, those big black eyes looking up at them, with a pleading look.

"Fine, fine! Only if you stop with the puppy eyes!" Chara blocks their sight with their hands, looking away.

"Why would you compare me to that annoying dog?" Asriel pouted, with his lower lip quivered a tiny bit to be dramatic.

"Because you're annoying."

"Fair enough," Asriel giggled. "Now let's go get breakfast!"

Asriel grabbed Chara's wrist and ran down the stairs. When the two teens walked into the kitchen, their noses were filled with the scent of Butterscotch-Cinnamon pie (or what Chara likes to call it "Butts Pie").

"Yes! Mom's specialty!" Asriel squealed as he ran over to the table and took a seat, with his legs swinging on the edge of the chair.

Chara sat next to Asriel, with a sour look on their face. Mrs. Mom placed two plates in front of the children with a smile.

"I didn't even have to go up and get you guys!" Mrs. Mom says as she messed up Chara's hair. "Such good kids!"

Chara said nothing but crossed their arms, the human child could've pretended to sleep and try to make them late for school but they didn't think of that idea until now.

"Where is Dad?" Asriel asked with a mouth full of pie.

"He's busy as ever," Chara felt the venom in Mrs. Mom's tone. Chara noticed that Mrs. Mom and Mr. Dad weren't getting along lately. The child just wanted to throw a tantrum and yell at them to not break the family apart. But Chara doesn't say anything about it, as Asriel is none of the wiser to the situation. "Anyways, these are your lunches!"

The queen placed two paper bags full of food on the table, Asriel (who has finished his pie) grabbed the bag and ran to get his backpack. Chara grabbed the plate of butterscotch pie with the bag and followed Asriel upstairs.

Instead of walking into their bedroom at the right, they took a left to see Mr. Dad in his office. Chara walked over to the king and placed the pie on the desk which took his attention away from the paper work to the child.

"Hello there child," He gave a soft smile and patted Chara's head gently with his big paw. "How is my buttercup doing?"

Mr. Dad looks big and scary, but he is actually the sweetest person the human knew besides his son, Asriel. In Chara's opinion, Mr. Dad shouldn't be king, as he is a big pushover unlike Mrs. Mom. Mrs. Mom was headstrong and way too protective. Asriel is like Mr. Dad and Chara is like Mrs. Mom, but funny enough the fluffy prince is a mommy's boy while the human was a daddy's child.

(At this time that's a draft and not finished.)
