Sneha felt eyes on her. She had been having the feeling of being watched for about twenty minutes now.

Her phone was dead, and the only way to get home was by walking. Her instincts told her something was wrong. She slowed her walk, trying to hear any other footsteps around her. She squatted down, pretending to tie her shoes, focusing on any sounds she might hear.

Her heart went into overdrive as she heard some vague scuffling and murmurs, about fifteen metres behind her. Her chest was gripped with fear, panic making all her thoughts clouded. She took a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself as she stood up and started walking again.

'Deep breaths, Sneha. Breathe. Think-', she focused yet again on any sounds behind her on the barely lit street, '-what can you do?' She didn't remember having any useful objects in her handbag. 'Guess in case something happens, I'm going to have to make a run for it.'

She heard fast footsteps approach her. Her heart beated frantically as adrenaline rushed inside her, the fight or flight instincts coming in. A hand gripped her shoulder.

"Aaah!" She screamed. She opened her eyes that had closed in fear, to see a ghost-white face with red fangs staring at her- No, sneering at her. She gasped for desperately for breath, and flung her handbag at the thing's face. She stomped sharply on its foot and banged her head on its nose, twisting out of its grip, then turned to run away.

"Oh no you don't!" The creature yelled and ran after her. She just kept running and running, when she saw a car approaching. It stopped in front of her and she ran to the passenger side, desperate to get away from the creature. The door opened from the inside. "Sneha? What happened-" Sneha snapped her head up to see her brother Adam dressed in his military glory, staring confusedly at her. At that moment a screech sounded and the creature came into view of the car. Sneha screamed, reached for her brother's gun sitting in a small compartment, climbed out and shot the creature in the middle of its head.

She climbed back into the car, panting, closed the door and wore the seat belt. Adam's hands on the steering were gripped tight, his knuckles almost white, and he choked out, "The one day I come to pick you up and give you a surprise- The ONE day."

They both looked at each other, one panting and still on the adrenaline rush, the other just stunned, neither knowing what just happened.
