After playing the Orpheum, the guys could now touch Julie, but still couldn't be seen. That being said, Luke was now always to be around Julie. Anything to get them to touch again without Julie finding out he likes her.

"Julie this is the 4th time you've been late, or even missed practice this week! We can't keep doing this!"
"Luke I had a project! Like my dad always said, school first."
"Yeah and what about Nick? All you do is hangout with him, talk about him, I mean, why be in a band if you don't pay us no mind?"
Julie snapped her neck and raised her voice, trying to get Luke some sense into his brain.
"Why do you care so much about Nick! This is my life, not yours! Plus we are just friends."
"Friends don't kiss each other-"
"It was for a dance routine! Cmon Luke! Are you serious right now..." She huffed and turned around, facing away from him, "I can't believe you."
This week Julie and Nick were assigned partners,
again.
Julie honestly was getting weirded out by how much time they've recently spent, but Nick seemed the opposite. He enjoyed every minute. This week they were assigned a dance routine of a song (their choice) as long as they create the last 5 steps, their own.
"And 5-6-7-8-"
"Julie so I had an idea-"
Julie stopped her writing, and threw her pencil and book on her bed. Julie had been spending so much time with him, she had gotten her grades low, but didn't bother to tell her dad or she'd be out of the band.
"Nick, maybe we should work on this another time. I'm already so behind on geometry and I also have a band. I should actually go see-"
"Wait! But we need the last step! Why don't we rehearse it just one more time. I have an idea for the last step but it's a surprise."
What could Nick possibly be thinking, now. Julie wondered.
She quickly put on a fake smile, poorly covering her annoyance and quickly got up off of bed.
They started with a push away from each other, Nick reaching his arm out, and Julie taking his hand. He spun her 1 time, then did a spin himself. They walked away from each other, that being the last part they made but Nick had an idea.
As Julie was walking towards her closet, away from Nick, he pulled her hand, surprising Julie. He quickly pulled her close and leaned into a kiss. Of course Julie didn't kiss back, but it left her shocked. She just stood, frozen.
"Sorry- I just thought- it would be a good idea since the topic is Love." Nick stuttered.
Julie continued to stand frozen, only managing to get a few words out.
"You should probably go."
"Oh-oh okay. See you tomorrow?" He asked, halfway out the door.
Julie didn't respond.
Nick shut the door and Julie could hear him say goodbye to Ray and Carlos. On the other hand, Julie was finally getting a break from Nick. The first break in 1 month. Julie felt bad though. She was leading a boy on, a boy she liked for so long, but just to like someone who's not even real? Someone she can't even have a life with? He's dead!
Julie rushed downstairs without even saying a word to her family. She opened the front doors but stopped in front of the garage.
How am I going to tell Luke? What if he doesn't want to hangout with me anymore? Then there will never be a Juke! And Flynn will be right, and i'll never find true love! I'll be an old lady handing cookies to the kids next door!
All this stress caused her face to look fearful. So, Just like Nick, she once again put on a small smile. But of course the guys could see through it.
She walked into the studio,slowly, to see the guys all on the couch looking completely bored out of their minds. When Julie walked in, they all stood up with smiles on their face that slowly turned into a frown.
