The sun broke through the morning clouds and shined its golden rays across the mountains. Rising to meet those golden rays, the morning mist billowed off the mountains. The forest began to wake up along with Jiang Yuming and Gao Guiren, who had built themselves a bed from clothes they had found in the tomb. Each robe was a different color and more expensive than the next, and was casually balled up and laid out for the two of them. It was truly striking against the forest background.

Jiang Yuming and Gao Guiren had spent the last few days camped out in an alcove by the tomb. Today would mark almost a full week since they found the tomb and each day they would hunt and gather what they could as they planned for their next move. In between finding food for their stomach, Gao Guiren had slowly taught Jiang Yuming how to cultivate and slowly gather the qi in Xianshi into his own daitain. Not only was he teaching cultivation, he would make Jiang Yuming wake up every morning and practice all 7 styles of [Cascading Ginkgo].

Rising with the morning sun, they had just finished their breakfast and Jiang Yuming was nestled between Gao Guiren's thighs as he sat on the ground and having his hair done.

As Jiang Yuming played with the robes on the forest floor, he continued their conversation from the night prior, "I promise that when you die, I'll come back to sweep your grave every year."

"It's fine if you don't, I don't really care." Gao Guiren replied, running the comb through the ends of Jiang Yuming's hair.

After having been Xu Xianliang and living a short long life, short for a cultivator and long for a regular person, Gao Guiren would rather just live out his natural life here. He didn't need much, just a small farmstead and a few mus of land would suffice. Raising a couple of chickens and a couple of piglets and being able to live a carefree life would be more than he could wish for. The cultivation Gao Guiren had absorbed from Xu Xianliang would guarantee that he would live a relatively longer life and would stay healthy.

"Once your cultivation is strong enough in a couple of years, I'll show you how to get to Conglong Valley to see my master."

"I don't mind accompanying you for a few more years, after all we are married and I should be a good husband to you." Jiang Yuming teased.

After a week of being praised and teased, "Ren-ge, you're so strong." or "Ah, my wife is so capable." by Jiang Yuming, he (GGR) had slowly become numb to his (JYM) words.

Although they would be considered as being in the same generation, Jiang Yuming's life had ended at 17 and even though his physical body had continued to grow, Jiang Yuming had reawakened with a mentality of a 17 year old and was raised to be a carefree youth. However, in contrast to his easy going personality, Jiang Yuming also grew up in a highly competitive environment where anyone who reached out to help usually wanted something in return.

In regards to Gao Guiren, Jiang Yuming would not rest easy if he did not pay Gao Guiren back somehow. The life of the cultivator is long and a mortal life is but a blink of an eye, spending a few years accompanying Gao Guiren and sweeping his grave would be Jiang Yuming paying him back. The feelings between them, although it was not love, could be considered a close friendship after being forced into a difficult situation together.

"Ren-ge, just like in the dramas and the novels, the two of us will travel the world and cultivate until we become OP." Jiang Yuming stated with authority.

"Well that means that one of us will have to play the part of the bad guy, after all more often than not the current trend is to have friends betray each other."

"Eh, Ren-ge, although we have only just met, in hardship does one see true friendship."

"Ah, pity me, downgraded from wife to a friend." Gao Guiren teased.
