((Wilbur POV))
The paper had been left, tacked to the iron door of the van by an arrow, the handwriting recognisable as Dream's. Wilbur lent in to read the messy scrawl better, gently prising the arrow out of the metal it was imbedded into. DECLARATION, the title read clearly. It has been decided that L'Manburg will not be allowed to form. If you disobey the orders to disband immediately, the SMP will be forced to take action against you, and will declare war. Unless you have hung white flags outside your base in four days, we will not hesitate to force you to disband L'Manburg. Signed: Dream, George, Sapnap, Punz

"What is it?" an enquiry came from behind the brunette. Fundy was standing behind him, trying to read the writing on the letter. His tail brushed the ground, swishing side to side. Wilbur grabbed the paper and turned towards his son. (i'm writing it so that fundy is wilbur's son, but they're both like twenty still somehow don't question it it's fine)

"It's from Dream"

"Oh yeah?" Fundy enquired, reaching toward the note. As he grabbed it, Wilbur saw his eyes scan the page as his dark eyebrows furrowed. "A war declaration?" Fundy asked, sounding worried. He looked back up at his father, his black cap shading his big eyes.

Wilbur nodded, and took the page back. "I'm going to need to tell everyone else about this. We have to prepare if we want to keep the hope of L'Manburg alive. If Dream really is serious about this war, then we'll have to fight back."

((Eret POV))
The sun cast down from the sky on the newly erected "van" amongst the trees. Walls were emerging from the forest, encompassing the land. Eret placed another block, before storing to gaze over at his friends planning in the structure. He could see Wilbur, Fundy and Tommy bent over a table laden with papers, surrounded by brewing stands. Well, Wilbur and Fundy were examining the table. Tommy was seemingly trying to speedrun getting kicked out of the meeting. Eret was counting down the seconds until Wilbur would get fed up and send Tommy out to help Eret with his walls. He was glad he had joined the revolution. L'Manburg had only started a few days ago, but he already couldn't imagine their world without it.

But something inside him made him second-guess the decisions he was making. L'Manburg might be the more welcoming, friendly side in the war, but there was no doubt that they were way outmatched in skill. Even with one more member than the SMP, they would be easily overpowered in a fair fight.
But that didn't matter, Eret decided, turning back to his walls and continuing to place the bricks and yellow concrete rhythmically. Surely, when Dream saw how dedicated the five were to their new country, he would desist in his desire to destroy it. And even then...

Even then, Eret had Fundy, his best friend on the whole server. He and the fox boy were inseparable, always pranking
each other and everyone else, or building magnificent creations with complex redstone. They spent almost all their time together, hanging out and vibing. Even if the revolution was doomed to fail, Eret would go down with his friends. He would never betray them.

((Sapnap POV))
(i simp for smart refrigerator please i'll probably do quite a few unnecessary sapnap povs don't judge me) Dream had called me, George and Punz in again. It was only the newest in a series of meetings he had called over the past couple of days to discuss the rising L'Manburg problem. And it was quite literally rising; the black and yellow walls surrounding L'Manburg seemed to grow taller every time I saw them. If you asked me, this whole thing seemed unnecessary. Why did L'Manburg even need independence? It was redundant, really. They just wanted to cause chaos. But I still didn't believe that going to war against them was the right course of action.
"Do we have to though?" I asked, not for the first time. Dream turned his head to look at me, and I stared into the empty eyes of his mask.

"Of course we do, Sapnap. We've already threatened them, we can't just not go through with this. We can't look like pushovers."

"But why'd we declare war on them to begin with?" I persisted. I was already becoming tired of this war, and it hadn't even started. I wasn't like George or Dream; one new idea could keep them entertained endlessly. But i got sick of that shit easily. I moved on from one concept to the next. I didn't see the point of doing something that wasn't worth doing. But I wasn't going to abandon Dream and George, no matter how stupid their ideas are. ( i feel like i've given sapnap a mild god complex and i'm suddenly really invested in that idea)
And then there's Punz. I hadn't really spoken to him before the war. He seemed fun, if a bit quiet. He also didn't seem as on board with the idea as the duo, but was going along with it anyway. He just looked like he was glad he was finally relevant (me too).

With plans drafted up for the third time in two days, the four parted as the sun began casting long shadows through the stained glass panes. Punz left first, then me. I decided I'd let the lovebirds have some alone time before the war officially began the next day.
