Remembering The Past (Taennie)

Taehyung pov

I was working on some paperwork in the living room when suddenly 

"DAAADD!!"

my 5-year-old son, Taehyun, ran towards me with a very familiar brown box

"Yah! come here!! I also want to see that!!"

and of course my 7-year-old daughter, Chaehee following him from behind

I didn't get the chance to prepare myself for my son's sudden jump on my lap so I groan a bit

"Soorryy dadd" he said with a small pout on his face

"It's fine son...umm, where did you get that??"

I turned my gaze towards the brown dusty box that's now on my right thigh

but before my son could answer, I heard someone fake cough so I turned my gaze towards the sound which came from my daughter, she run towards me and sit beside me 

"I'm the one who found it" she pouted

"I was looking for my ballet shoes in the attic but then I saw this near my shoes, it was covered with white silk so I couldn't help myself to snoop....I'm sorry"

she looked down

"Hey... it's alright kiddo, I'm actually glad you found this...I forgot that we put this in there...."

I mumble the last sentence

"What's in there dad??"

My son Taehyun asked

"Well....it's me and your mom"

I smiled

I looked at my son who was confused

"But how can you and mom be in there??you're here in front of me, and mommy is at work"

i giggled

"Not that way taehyun, it's our memories..."

"UUUUUU, can we open it?? why is it locked?? do you have the key?"

my daughter bombarded me with many questions

Hmm, that is actually a good question though, where did I put the key??

Then I remembered that we buried it with our promise ring in a wooden box near our oak tree

"KIDS...."

both of them looked at me with a curious face

"Find a shovel"

I said while standing up and rolled both my sleeves up as they ran and find some shovel

S K I P

We are now under the tree, both of them sitting down on one of the tree roots

I'm still trying to remember which area did we bury the box in tho...

ugh, the cause of growing old

(A/n: umm...it's been 20 minutes, are you THAT old?? Tae: HOW DARE YOU?!)

AHA! it was right.....here! 

I said to myself while standing about 2 meters away from the tree

I smiled as I saw our carvings on the tree

A heart with a sign "T+J" in it which is now barely visible, THAT'S WHY IT TOOK SO LONG
