He was walking to Sheldon's weapon shop until he heard a little cry within a basket near the creepy ally way leading to the salmon run job building so he went to investigate and saw a worn out basket with a baby (octoling/inkling) girl crying and throwing her worn out blanket around since your mother just abandoned you then gloves looked at you worryingly,"It's so not cool to abandon a child in a weird ally way." Gloves says to himself as he picks you up carefully then decides to adopt you because he instantly felt a bond with you so he goes to an adoption center to get it sorted to legally have you as a daughter!
☕When he brought you home☕
He gladly held your sleeping form to his house with his team since they live together and having you brought a lot of joy to the group unfortunately you weren't awake when receiving gifts but you was awake for the special plush you would love forever from Half-Rim!

☕First steps☕
Actually you was a quick learner, because one you saw your father walking around quite a lot cause it was his turn cooking for the team and you (well a bottle of baby milk) so your baby mind thought,':OOOO DADA DOING SOMETHING I WANNA COPY!!!!' or some shit like that so you got up and waddled to Gloves and held onto his leg (you thought this was hugging at the time lol) as he noticed you walked,"Looks like my little fresh (octo/squid) learnt to walk, your so cool!" Gloves says happily as his team comes down so you waddled to them happily as the girls awed at you so they played with you and your toys for a bit as Gloves continued cooking.

You was watching some action cartoons (lol its anime) and you always loved the action bits just like your dad Gloves who was actually watching Voltron so when the red lion appears you'd wail in happiness until the next bit that shocked your father,"COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!" you's scream as Keith kicks some more galarian ass even though he's half galarian himself,"Yeah, Keith is cool!" Gloves says as well as you laugh cutely to him.
☕First birthday☕
Luckily, Gloves made you a homemade cream cake so you could play and eat it which was an effort but you loved it like any other baby and slapped it a lot making most of the cream fly every where but you actually loved playing with the balloons until they burst which made you cry so Gloves had to calm you down while the others eat the real cake I mean you kinda enjoyed it but now you are afraid of balloons for life oof
