- 10 years later -

Black leather boots hit the wooden dock as one of the only passengers stepped off of the boat that had finally landed at the small port city on the west coast of the continent of Amala. An unsightly city to most, but far better than the pristine ports of the Azi Empire with their guards and banner with the goddess's symbol on them. A small sigh escaped them as they stared at the city.

" Isn't this what you were looking for, Catherine?" A voice asked, the person still on the boat as they watched their fellow adventurer stare at the city in what seemed to be disappointment at what she saw. Their head tilted to the side a bit, their dark brown curls shifting over to the right as they did so. His hazel eyes seemed confused as he watched her, waiting for her response.

" It is... but at the same time.... I wasn't really ready..." She admitted with a slight nod, braided black hair bouncing a bit as she did so. Blue eyes scanned what she could see of the city, her brows furrowing more and more in worry as she did so. Her companion took this time to step off the boat, making sure to grab his bag as he did so as well as grab Catherine's at the same time.

" Oh, how so?" He asked, raising his eyebrow a bit as he did so, curious about what Catherine wouldn't be ready for in this type of situation. Whatever it was, it was worrying enough how Catherine was reacted. One hand was clutching the necklace that hung around her neck, a symbol of a god that Catherine had picked up practices for during their time in Mettenheim.

" I've never seen a complete take over, Daniel. It looks so broken."

Daniel looked out at the port, cringing a bit when he realized how accurate Catherine was with her description. The houses that stood obviously weren't the originals, seemingly patched back together after being razed by the Azi Empire. There was a castle towards the center of the city, however, it was also far from great condition, banged up and even having holes covered with only cloth in an effort to keep the inside still inside.

Three different banners seemed to decorate the wrecked city, all bearing a different symbol and different color. Three groups all in this one territory seemed extreme, but, as Catherine had pointed out, this entire continent was all conquered by the Azi Empire, this piece of land barely escaping.

" It does. What are you saying, Catherine?"

" It'll be difficult. But.... it should still be possible to overthrow Azi Dahaka and her empire. Let's find the leaders of this rebellion."

With that, the two walked into the city, bags slung across the bodies and only Daniel having a dagger as any sort of offensive power outside of themselves.

" Azi?"

" Yes, Juniper?"

" The rebellion seems to have gotten stronger."

" Then crush it."
