Midoriya stared down at his paper, begging it to suddenly make sense again. At first glance of a word, it seemed to be recognizable but the long he looked at it, the more it made less and less sense.
A lump caught in his throat and he took a deep breath.
Don't panic.
Don't panic.
He grabbed the test and slipped down from his chair, shuffling up to Aizawa's desk.
"U-um..." He began, making sure to get the older man's attention since it was being occupied by some sort of mobile game called "Neko Atsume" or something. Aizawa blinked and set down his phone, leaning forward to see Midoriya's face better. The kid's eyes barely peeked above the desk.
"I d-dunno.....um....I don' fink I ca'.....um.....wead anymo'e." Midoriya finally mumbled, face starting to blush.
Aizawa blinked, narrowing his eyes in thought, "Well do you think you're still capable of answering the questions?" He asked quietly, not wanting to disturb the rest of the test-takers. Midoriya nodded. Aizawa looked across the room, "Kirishima, are you having issues too?" He asked, getting a panicked nod from the other little one. Aizawa sighed and waved Kiri over.
"I'll give you two oral exams in the teacher's lounge then." He said, pushing himself up with a grunt. That comment granted a few snickers from the more perversely-minded students and he shot them a glare to shut them up.
He shot a quick text to Yamada, who he knew didn't currently have a class at the moment and waited for the blonde to arrive.
"The rest are in your hands." He told the sunglassed-man. Yamada nodded and took his seat at the front of the room, taking his job as Test Integrity Officer very seriously.
Aizawa led the two small students to the teacher's lounge, "I'll read you the questions and the multiple choice answers and you will circle one of the answers, the first, second, third, or fourth obviously. That sound okay?" He said, closing the door and taking a seat at a table.
The two boys nodded as they climbed up into their chairs.
Kiri still seemed reluctant. He didn't want to admit it but the concept of "first, second, third, and fourth" were completely absent from his mind. He just couldn't make sense and put them in any sort of order anymore.
Aizawa noticed this and stood, grabbing several different colored highlighters.
"Fine, when I read the answers, one will be yellow, one pink, one blue, and one green, whichever one you think is right, you make a little dot with that color next to the question." He suggested. It felt like he was going through a lot of work here considering he didn't know how much longer they'd actually be capable of answering these questions.
"Okay, first question---"
The test went relatively smoothly, with both about how well they'd do normally. He could tell that they both were starting to get groggy though, with the occasional yawn or the heavy eyelids.
They'd finally finished the last question and Aizawa collected the tests, setting them over by his own desk space in the lounge. He'll probably grade those and the rest of the class's tests during his free period today. He was walking back over to the table when--
"Kirishima, stop chewing on that." He said, snatching the pink highlighter from the child's hands. Kiri blinked, a blank expression on his face before suddenly breaking into a blush.
