13: for you

"Are you okay?"

Soori slowly opened her eyes when someone woke her up from sleep. She gazed at the clock on the wall and was surprised to find out that it was almost two in the morning. It's been several hours since the pool misfortune happened. Soori had no idea what happened after Sunghoon saved her. She was so confused.

Yewon switched on the light and anxiously jumped to Soori's bed to check on her friend. Soori leaned her back against the wall and drank the water that was brought by Yewon.
"It's 2 am, why aren't you asleep?"

"We were playing video games in the living room. I was sleepy. So, I went to the room to sleep."
Yewon muttered and sat next to Soori.

Both of them went silent.

Yewon spoke up,
"Did you get a butterfly in your stomach?"

Soori took a sip of the drink,
"What do you mean?"

"Sunghoon saved you by giving mouth-to-mouth help. Didn't you feel anything? It's Sunghoon."

The truth is, Soori was a little bit excited when she found out about him helping her. After a moment, Soori realized that she shouldn't feel anything special about that.

He was only being nice and kind. There's no meaning other than that. He would do the same thing if someone else drowned too.

At the same time, Jieun came into the room and glanced at Yewon and Soori who were talking to each other on the bed. Yewon rolled her eyes as Jieun glanced at her and continued talking to Soori.

Jieun didn't care about that. She pulled her luggage to the bed and started to take out her clothes while
listening to the conversation silently.

"Answer me, Soori."

Soori scoffed, "I don't feel anything."

"Don't lie to me. Didn't you feel anything when Sunghoon placed his lips on yours? He took
your first kiss--"

Jieun glared at Yewon as Sunghoon was mentioned in the conversation. Soori gazed at Jieun and caught the woman glaring at Yewon. It made her uncomfortable to see the scene. Yewon should have stopped talking from now on.

"It's not a kiss. He wanted to help me from drowning."

Yewon whispered,
"Are you stupid? Just go along with me."

Soori scoffed and whispered, 
"Jieun got a kiss from Sunghoon and I received help from Sunghoon. It's different. Don't embarrass me like that."

Yewon gasped, "Sunghoon--"

Jieun got off the bed and glared at Yewon for the last time before leaving the bedroom. Yewon scoffed and rolled her eyes,

"What's wrong with her?"

Yewon leaned her body closer to Soori and asked her softly. Soori was confused to see the way Yewon acted towards her. She patiently waited for the girl to speak.

"Is it wrong to fall in love with your best friend?"

Soori weirdly stared at Yewon. She was surprised to hear the question. Soori was curious to know the reason behind the question. Why did Yewon suddenly ask that kind of question to her?
