-Cop Car-
By Keith Urban
______________The cold silent night is disturbed by roaring engines. The Smell of gasoline increases my adrenaline rush as I double the speed of my Mercedes through the dark.
I took a sharp left, maneuvering the car to the way I want, multiple vehicles behind on hot pursuit. Gunfire's were audible behind me, my windshield from the back blasting to pieces, making me duck while driving, I step hard on the gas, creating a distance from them. Grabbing the opportunity, I round in circles, grabbing a pistol from my waistband.
As soon as my window face the car near me, I straightened my arm out, my hands clutching to the cold metal aiming straight to the person holding a gun in the passenger side repetitively before firing their tires.
The driver lost it's control to the car, buying me time to completely turn my vehicle back to the road as fast as possible. Beads of sweat trickles down my forehead, heart hammering on my chest. I manage to put that car to a stop, but there's still three that's hot in my heels.
It was never my intention to drive in full speed in the middle of the night with some bunch of cars and armed men behind. In fact, I was about to sleep after the burial of my mother that I heard my Aunt Sylvia, who despised me all her life and blames me for my mother's death, talking to someone on the phone about taking me when I'm fast asleep.
I didn't understand the whole conversation, but the only thing I knew was that I needed to get away from there. So i grab my training weapon that was luckily loaded and snuck out the window. They only knew i escaped because of the sound of my engine which was a stupid mistake. I have a hunch that this is all my Father's doing. My father whom I never even met. I only heard of him by his men when I'm in training, always calling him the "He", but never saw him in person.
I mostly grew confused to my lifestyle. I didn't knew my father, yet he has his men around here in the Philippines and manipulative forced me to physically train. All stuff like martial arts and how to use a gun. All techniques to fight was forced to me. At a very young age, my mind matured because of this.
Although, I don't still understand why I'm running away right now and why they're firing at me. Is this a test? Or am I not his real daughter? But beyond the situation, I was luckily I mastered all they taught me.
Despite my frustration, the adrenaline and bumps on the road keeps me awake but my arms and legs are in fatigue. My home was in Makati and now I'm entering the road of Quezon City.
I frustratedly groan, trying to think some ways to get away from them. All of a sudden, I almost bump my head on the wheel because of the impact of the car being hit from behind. They're intentionally bumping my car. They're gaining on me.
My eyes scan my surroundings momentarily, trying to find an escape route but as my mentor always say 'never let your guard down', and I did, and it was a big mistake. As soon as it happened, the vehicle behind me used it's full force hitting my car, sending my vehicle flying and tumbling down the road.
I brace for the impact. I felt awfully nauseous with the rough roll of the vehicle, my head hitting hard on somewhere. Smoke fills the air inside, my mind foggy. A liquid was flowing down my face, crimson red. I try to wriggle out but my body won't cooperate. I see stars in my line of vision. Looking outside, I spotted vehicles harshly stopping before I finally lose consciousness.
