TIME JUMP The past few months have been great! There hasn't been any Pogue VS Kook drama. Reed doesn't even voluntarily hang out with Topper and Rafe anymore. He only has to for church and country club gatherings. I got a new job waitressing at The Wreck. The pay isn't as much but at least I'm not groped every 5 minutes. I spent my other time with Reed. We surf, explore, and make out alot. He hasn't pressured me to do anything else until I'm ready. My brother and his friends have been searching for treasure all summer. They think I don't know but I do. I know a lot of stuff that they think I don't. I'm not upset they didn't tell me about the treasure, I thought I was when I found out. But I actually don't really care too much. They aren't very good at it so I leave little clues out for them like books that just so happen to give them the exact information they need or the name of a lawyer that does pro bono work. I hope they find it. That would be so cool.
I think the best of the summer so far was my birthday. Reed planned the whole day to be really special. He picked me up in the morning and we drove to his dad's boat. He made a fancy spread of fruits and stuff while he sailed out to a gorgeous snorkeling spot. Then he taught me how to snorkel and I saw these amazing coral reefs and animals. I saw fish, turtles, stingrays, and a reef shark. Then we had lunch and just talked. At dinner, he lit these fake multicolored candles and we ate dinner. He brought all my favorite foods. And the last part was the best. After dinner, his lips crashed into mine and after making out, I felt his hands all over my body. The heat between my legs grew and I got wet and he was hard. I was turned on but I was safe. I was on top grinding on him and he unclipped my bathing suit top and feeling me up. He flipped me over so he was on top and took off his shirt. His hands went to my bottoms pulling them down completely as he lowered his. "Are you sure?" he asked. I nodded. He pulled out a condom and put it on as he lined himself up with my entrance. I let out a gasp as I felt his tip pressing into me. He went slow letting me adjust to his size. I moaned and his eyes rolled back as his thrusts became faster and quicker and I felt my legs shake in pleasure. As his thrusts became sloppy, I felt him cum and when he did my walls tightened. REED'S POV
Things with Beth have been so good. The only hard part is lying to her. I told her I don't hang out with Topper and Rafe anymore, but I do. All the time. I had to tell them we hooked up. They think I was just curious about screwing a pogue. It's crazy because I said that before we actually did. But, I'm not going to tell them I'm dating her, that's worse. Right? I didn't think she would find out since she doesn't work for the Thorntons anymore. But I should have known worlds would collide.
JJ'S POV
When Pope got back on the boat with his head smashed in, I lost it. I'm so sick of kooks doing whatever they want whenever they want. First Beth, now Pope. I pushed him from the wheel and drove over to Thornton's dock and there it was. Toppers brand new 2020 Malibu 24-MXC. I jumped in the water and swam over to it and pulled the plug. I watched it sink as we cruised away. That's what you get for screwing with the pogues.
REED'S POV
It was a week after Topper's boat sank when everything went to hell. We were Toppers house lifting weights, when the sheriff showed up. Topper and Mrs. Thornton was shown a screenshot from security tape near the boat. It was JJ. I was with Topper and Rafe when we found out about his boat. I'm the one that suggested security tape. I'm the one that told them about the camera at each dock. The sheriff was on his way now to go arrest JJ for destruction of property. I had to go warn them.
BETH'S POV

The pogues were all hanging out at the Wreck while I worked. I guess they were keeping me company. My shift had just ended and I was signing out when I heard the commotion. I ran out and that's when I saw it. It's like I froze in time and everyone around me moved in slow motion. I watched people yell as a sheriff put my brother in handcuffs. Once I registered what was happening, I ran over to grab him. "You can't take him" I cried holding on to JJ's torso. "It's ok Beth" JJ yelled. John B pulled me off holding me in his arms as I watched my brother get dragged away. I cried into his shirt and Kiara rubbed my back. "We have to go to the station" I said and we ran after them. We were outside and I felt a wave of relief when I heard Reed call my name. "Reed" I yelled as he hugged me. "Are you ok? I tried to get here before the sheriff but I was too late" I pulled away as I realized what he said. "How did you know the sheriff was coming here?" I asked. His eyes flashed with regret. "I didn't- I meant" he stammered. "Reed, how did you know?" I asked him. "Ok, I was with Topper and Rafe when they found out about the boat and I accidentally told them about the dock security footage. I'm so sorry, I had no idea it was JJ" he said. My heart stopped. The next few moments were so surreal I don't even remember them. I just remember my fists hitting his chest as I screamed at him. I remember him apologizing and Pope pushing him to leave. I remember John B dragging me to the car and Kiara holding me in the seat while Pope shut the door. Then driving to the station in silence.
