Live to Spy Another Day

Chapter 3

Cammie's POV:

The monorail reaches the school in 10 minutes and 47 seconds. I slip out of the car and head towards the caves. I end up in Sublevel three and head up the elevator to the hallway behind the kitchen and round the corner. I head towards my mom's office and make it all the way to the Hall of History before someone recognizes me. I'm not surprised or offended because that is the how you can tell that someone is a good spy- you don't recognize them.

"Oh my gosh! Its Cameron Morgan! CIA Legend!" I hear the halls start to buzz with conversation but don't react except for pulling on a smirk. Zach finally taught me his signature smirk. I was cranky and 8 months pregnant and was acting all bitchy. He finally bribed me to stop complaining with cookie dough icecream and teaching me his smirk.

FLASHBACK

 

"Zach. Get over here right now and fix the couch! I want to watch t.v. without the sun blinding me. And I want an icecream sundae with cookies!"

 

Zach groaned and walked into the room and adjusted the couch to my liking.

"Don't you groan Zach. You try carrying a baby in your stomach for 8 months and then tell me to stop complaining." I yelled in his direction.

 

His face went white and he quickly replied, "What would you like dear?'

 

"An icecream sundae with cookies!

 

"I will throw in teaching you how to smirk if you let me leave the house for the rest of the day." he said and I smiled. Jackpot- finally something useful in life!

 

END OF FLASHBACK

I walked into my mom's office to see her talking to Dad- I don't know whether to call him Dad, Step-Dad, Solomon, Joe?

"Hello Cammie!" Mr. Solomon said. (Mr.?- this is all so confusing)

"Hello!" I said walking in. They automatically stopped talking which meant they were up to something.

"Cammie, would you like to have something to occupy you an hour or two a day? I know you don't like staying in the house all day and Joe would like to retire. We need a new Covert Operations teacher and you have all the qualifications."

"And you were taught by the best," Mr. Solomon butts in. "And don't worry about Mathew, your mother can watch him for those two hours."

I stood speachless for a minute before answering.

"Of course I will be the new teacher."

"Good. You start tomorrow." Mr. Solomon adds.

I'm a bit shocked at the rush of starting the job but it doesn't worry me. I finally will get out of the house!

"Oh Cammie. Ellie is in this year's sophomore class. Please go hard on her like Joe went on you. I want to help her the best I can and that is by going tough on her."

"Don't worry Mom. I will treat all my students equally and I will be tougher than the Joe Solomon. They will all call me Sergeant and stand in straight drill lines and only talk when I address them." I say in a serious voice.

"You are hilarious!" Solomon says, laughing and holding his stomach. "Is that how intimidating I was?"

"No. You were worse except for the sergeant and lines part. And I was joking- they would never take me seriously."

"You got that right." Mom says and a smile forms on her lips. "Now if you don't hurry, Zach is going to take Mathew to the candy counter in Josh's pharmacy and he will get a stomachache. There will go your day that was meant to spend with him having fun. It will become a day caring to a Zach in bed. And not in the inappropriate way!" She added in as Joe started laughing.

"You are right. I'm leaving right now." I turn to walk out the door but quickly stop.

"What time do the lessons start?"

"Be here at around noon." Joe said, still laughing. I head out the front doors and jog towards Roseville hoping to get there before Zach eats too much chocolate.

Hello! I have spring break next week, and will write a lot that week for all my books. I will not publish it all at once, but maybe twice a month. Once I finish writing the book, I will publish the chapters faster. Please read my other books; the more votes and comments I get in general, the more I'll want to write.
