She leapt aside, a gigantic body flew in through the window and hit the opposite wall Something large a dead corpse. she ran back to the shattered window, out in the dark night, lily saw bursts of light in the distance and heard a weird, keening scream. she looked down at her watch: It was midnight. The battle had begun. lily could hear movement through the corridors all around: running footsteps, shouts; through the window she could see more flashes of light in the dark grounds. The first casualties of the battle were already strewn across the passage ahead: The two stone gargoyles that usually guarded the entrance to the staffroom had been smashed apart by a jinx that had sailed through another broken window. Their remains stirred feebly on the floor, and as lily leapt over one of their disembodied heads, it moaned faintly. "Oh, don't mind me... I'll just be here and crumble...."Its ugly stone face made lily laugh as she reached the end of the passage and she nearly stumbled through but she never stopped she knew, at least, where the keys to victory sat waiting for her. ... lucinda, who confided in no one and operated alone for others saftey , might have been arrogant enough to assume that she, and only she, had penetrated the deepest mysteries of Hogwarts Castle. she passed portrait after portrait, and the painted figures raced alongside them, wizards and witches in ruffs and breeches, in armor and cloaks, cramming themselves into each others' canvases, screaming news from other parts of the castle. As they reached the end of this corridor, the whole castle shook, and lily knew, as a gigantic vase blew off its plinth with explosive force, that it was in the grip of enchantments more sinister than those of the teachers and the Order worse  "it's all righ',t's all righ'!" yelled proffeser sprout trying to stay calm but the great boarhound had taken flight as slivers of china flew like shrapnel through the air, leaving lily alone. She forged on through the trembling passages, her wand at the ready, and for the length of one corridor the little painted knight, Sir Cadrigan, rushed from painting to painting beside lily, clanking along in his armor, screaming encouragement, his fat little pony cantering behind him." Harry hurtled around a corner and found Fred and a small knot of students, including Lee Jordan and Hannah Abbott, standing beside another empty plinth, whose statue had concealed a secret passageway. Their wands were drawn and they were listening at the concealed hole. "Nice night for it!" Fred shouted as the castle quaked again, and lily sprinted by, elated and terrified in equal measure. Along yet another corridor she dashed, and then there were owls everywhere, and Mrs. Norris was hissing and trying to bat them with her paws, no doubt to return them to their proper place."Azula stood blocking the corridor ahead, her wand held ready. " "Where the hell have you been?" lily shouted. "Chamber of Secrets," said ginny and george ."Chamber ¨C what?" said lilyy, coming to an unsteady halt before them ."It was ginny idea, all ginny's idea!" said George breathlessly. "Wasn't it absolutely brilliant? There we were, after we left, and I said to giny even if we get the keys what if the horxrux somehow keeps him alive , how are we going to get rid of it? And then she thought of it! The basilisk!"                                                                                                                           "What the ?"                                                                                                                                                         "Something to get rid of Horcruxes," said ginny simply. lily's eyes dropped to the objects clutched in George and Ginny's arms: great curved fangs; torn, she now realized, from the skull of a dead basilisk. "But how did you get in there?" she asked, staring from the fangs to ginny. "You need to speak Parseltongue!"                                                                                                                                  "He did!" whispered ginny.                                                                                                                                 "Show her, George !" geroge made a horrible strangled hissing noise.                                                        "I had to have a few goes to get it right, but," he shrugged modestly, "we got there in the end." "He was amazing!" said ginny. "Amazing!"                                                                                                                 "So.." lilyy was struggling to keep up. "So..." "So we're prepared incase the key thing flops," said geoerge , and from under his jacket he pulled the basilik fang . "Genius!" yelled lily. "It was nothing," said george , though he looked delighted with himself.                                                                "So what's new with you?" As he said it, there was an explosion from overhead: All three of them looked up as dust fell from the ceiling and they heard a distant scream. "I know what the keys looks like, and I know where it is," said lily, talking fast. "Come on." As the walls trembled again, lily led them down the corridor where Fred left to go to the battlegrounds with Azula they arrived back at the underground relived they wannted to rest but couldnt the war was still going on time could cost hundreds if not thousands of innocent lives even just for a minute. who knows how fast the death eaters are attacking?This wasnt a fight this was a battle to go down in history. lily thought whilst still rapidly moving about how one day she would be one of those boring old people you learn about in ancient ruens she laughed at the thought before running into the center of the underground the crystal cavern decorated with diamonds and jewles she went straight for the orange center diamond and red the tiny enscripted message on the key " power you seek good or bad may cost you its power you seek say this chant soft "lily read it out loud saying it made her feel dizzy and confused her mind felt blank but she kept going as the pain got worse. she was a soilder not a kid. once she had read the passage.

" hit her" lily heard unable to open her eyes or speak.         " I'm not going to hit her she fainted are you dumb" she didnt regognize the voices but opened her eyes with all the strength she had left " shes up" came a voice which once lily saw the persons face she remberd who had said it " are you ok" aveena asked kneeling down besides her lily lifted her self up so she was sat rather than lay on the floor " yeah I'm fine " lily replied as she spoke she felt different almost as if something inside her changed " the key failed nothings changed " as aveena spoke lily veins glowed orange "that's not normal is it hazel asked concered " its siencnce  hazel she gained the diamonds power she needs to kill voldermort she is the key come on lets go back were wasting tiime we need to get this over with " Ginny said as they grabbed hold of each other and appeeated but....
