The furor of the battle died the moment they crossed the threshold and closed the door behind them: All was silent. They were in a place the size of a cathedral with the appearance of a golden palce of keys , "And she never realized anyone could get in?" said aveena , her voice echoing in the silence." she thought he was the only one," said Hazel . " which one is it "aveena added " i think it's down here...." lily replied They sped off up adjacent aisles; lily could hear the others' footsteps echoing through the room lily muttered to herself. Somewhere... somewhere...Deeper and deeper into the labyrinth she went, looking for the keys her breath was loud in her ears, and then her very soul seemed to shiver. There it was, right ahead, the key with the orange crysatal from the underground jewled on it she had already stretched out his hand, though he remained few feet away, when a voice behind him said, "Hold it leigh" she skidded to a halt and turned around. Crabbe and Goyle were standing behind her, shoulder to shoulder, wands pointing right at lily. she could not hear hazel or aveena anymore. They seemed to have run out of earshot, searching for the keys. "So how come you two aren't with Voldemort?" asked lily ."We're gonna be rewarded were going to be the ones to bring you to him," said Crabbe his voice was surprisingly soft for such an enormous person: lily had hardly ever heard him speak before Crabbe was speaking like a small child promised a large bag of sweets. " oh what reward," asked lily in mock admiration she could not believe that she was this close, and was going to be thwarted by Crabbe, and Goyle. she began edging slowly backward toward the place where the keys sat lopsided upon the bust. If she could just get her hands on it before the fight broke out "So how did you get in here?" she asked, trying to distract them. "we virtually lived outside the Room of requirement all last year were always guarding here invisbley ," said crabbe, his voice brittle. "we know how you got in. "We was hiding in the corridor outside we heard your your little chant ," grunted Goyle. "We can do Disslusion Charms now! And then," his face split into a gormless grin, "you turned up right in front of us and said you was looking for a key! What's that for ?"                                                                         "lily?" aveena's voice echoed suddenly from the other side of the wall to lilly's right. Crucio!"lily had lunged for the keys ; Crabbe's curse missed her but hit the stone bust, which flew into the air; the diamond key soared upward and then dropped out of sight in the mass of objects on which the bust had rested. "STOP!" goyal shouted at Crabbe, his voice echoing through the enormous room. "The Dark Lord wants her alive " goyle yelled "So? I'm not killing her, am I?" yelled Crabbe, throwing off goyols 's restraining arm. "But if I can, I will, the Dark Lord wants her dead anyway, what's the diff ?"A jet of scarlet light shot past lily by inches: Hazel had run around the corner behind lily and sent a Stunning Spell straight at Crabbe's head. It only missed because goyle pulled him out of the way. "It's that annoying gay! She shot a Stunning Spell at Crabbe, who lurched out of the way, knocking goyle's wand out of his hand; it rolled out of sight beneath a mountain of broken old keys and bones. "Don't kill her! DON'T KILL HER!" goyle yelled at crabbe who was aiming at lilyy: Their split second's hesitation was all lily needed. "Expelliarmus!" Goyle's wand flew out of his hand and disappeared into the bulwark of keys beside him; Goyle leapt foolishly on the spot, trying to retrieve it; crabbe jumped out of range of hazels's second Stunning Spell, and aveena, appearing suddenly at the end of the aisle, shot a full Body-Bind Curse at Crabbe, which narrowly missed .Crabbe wheeled around and screamed, "Avada Kedavra!" again. aveena leapt out of sight to avoid the jet of green light. The wand-less goyle cowered behind a three-legged wardrobe as Hazel charged toward them, hitting Goyle with a Stunning Spell as she came ."It's somewhere here!" lily yelled at her, pointing at the pile of junk into which the orange key had fallen. "Look for it while I go and help " "LILY!" she screamed. A roaring, billowing noise behind her gave him a moment's warning. She turned and saw both hazel and Crabbe running as hard as they could up the aisle toward them ."Like it in hell , scum?" roared Crabbe as he ran . goyle grabbed the Stunned crabbe and dragged him along; goyle outstripped all of them, now looking terrified; lily,hazel and aveena pelted along in his wake, and the flashes of spells pursued them. It was not normal ; Crabbe had used a curse of which lily had no knowledge. As they turned a corner the killing curse chased them as though they were alive, sentient, intent upon killing them. Crabbe, and Goyle had vanished from view: lily, hazel and aveena stopped dead; "What can we do?" Hazel screamed over the deafening roars . "What can we do?" hazel asked "you tow fight of them of fight ill get the key once we i do that we apperate to the underground and unlock our power and use it to deaft Voldemort " lily orderd they put there hands together before shouting "lets do this once and for all" they split up and lily ent back to here she sa the key last she searched for what felt like years only seeing keys but never the right one. Finally she found the key to her victory she reached out for it and grabbbed it tight she needed away to get to aveena and hazel without being seen she whipped out her wand and peered round the corner to see hazel alone she tapped her on the shoulder hazel was about to let out a scream however lily thought fast and put her hand over hazels mouth " what was that for " hazel quietly gasped " i got the key if you screamed they would know where we are and we cant risk the key" they stood their quietly before hazel smiled to lighten the mood "I saw her up near the entrance lets go" hazel said as they darted off in that direction they ducked behind a corner as crabbe and goyle turned to face them blasting spells from their wands (crabbes was broken almost into 2) "aveena hurry so we can apperate" lily shouted as aveena rushed over they were all including crabbe and goyle covered in blood from head to toe hazel lily and aveena held hands before apperating
