“why were you feeling worried earlier” Nian said, changing expressions to one of concern.
Lei Cheng sighed, changing expressions too.
“can someone not hide anything from you?!” Lei Cheng said, shaking his head.
Nian smiled.
“ you said you came from a remote village and lost your way, finding your self in that dangerous forest, what do you think your mom and dad would be thinking right now?” Lei Cheng paused, took a deep breath and continued.
“since I have had senses, I have known my dad to be a farmer, we eat the farm produce and my mom sells the remaining farm stuff in the village square, in this way we get both money and food, we are a hard working family, before leaving my parents cried their eyes out, very reluctant to let me go but I had to, I wanted a very bright future for us, I didn't want to be constricted to that village, I want to have my own city that would be at least a second class, all this needs to start from somewhere and the very first step is to be a martial cultivator with a very high rank.”
“ before gaining such a very high rank, one have to over come dangers, you would serve as a dog and be at the disposal of stronger cultivators, with your life in their hands you might even die before attaining a height enough to accomplish your goal, this are just the rules of the world, survival of the fittest, to survive till as long as you can, to be sincere, I have thought of giving up on myself and such high dreams before until I met you, father came home with you one day and said he saw you coming out of the black evil forest, you were lying half dead at it's pheriphery but you refused to give up, you were adamant on living you refused to die, despite the fact that you had no cultivation base yet you came out victorious, numerous times we have heard of strong cultivation not being able to last few days in the forest but you did, the wounds on your body proved that you have used at least a week, I drew hope from you, you changed history, if you could do it then I could do it too, nothing is impossible if your mind is set, I knew I could lose hope again anytime that is why I made you my sworn brother, anytime I see you my hope is renewed again, sigh”.
“ aaiizz, your foolish talks are so emotional, I feel like crying” Yu Zhong said hitting his forehead with his palm
“ can you not see that I'm serious here!” Lei Cheng said bunching his fists.
Lei Cheng and Yu Zhong ran around Nian laughing and playing like little children. Nian understood that Yu Zhong was trying to free Lei Cheng off his worries, he had seen Yu Zhong's face filled with concern, he wouldn't blame him, he was concerned too.
Lei Cheng may look or sound foolish at times but Nian took a mental note not to underestimate his thinking abilities, Lei Cheng is his sworn brother anyways so he had to become stronger for him, he had to shield him off from troubles until he becomes stronger himself, Nian couldn't understand himself, this Lei Cheng of a person is actually stronger than him in terms in f cultivation base as at now. Ah yes, that's it, he is only stronger than him now but No an would have to become stronger than him and even more than his troubles, he felt like it was his responsibility.
Nian sighed.
Whether it is for Ning'er or it is for Cheng'er, it all led to him being stronger, for him to keep practicing, to triple his hard work, for his love, for his sworn brother and most importantly and most essentially, for his title, for his coach and surely for himself.
Nian breathed deeply, he had many things to work hard for, he couldn't and he promised himself that he wouldn't slack himself in the slightest bit, it was unaffordable.
There are many things to worry about but for now no one knew the reason why they were called to the grand library, at least Yu Zhong and Lei Cheng didn't but Nian didn't feel like it was just another welcome greetings, he felt like it was something real, something necessary to or in cultivation, he had never guessed wrong and he didn't feel like he guessed wrong this time either.
He knew it, he wasn't wrong, their being called here is for something specific.
“ Whoa..” Lei Cheng said, his mouth opened wide agape.
While Yu Zhong looked at him in disgust, Nian wouldn't blame him, he was overwhelmed too, it is just that he tried so much to compose himself.
This is just the ground floor yet a grand library of books and a thing of beauty, people had already crowded the whole library despite being in the morning, the books were neat arranged in long and broad book shelf space, the bookshelves were in turn arranged in a semi-circle with another row of shelves on each side of the semi-circle. An array of heavenly runes sat on the floor admidst the semi-circle emitting a faint ray of golden light upwards, Nian felt its energy from here it; its balanced.
Nian continued to look around, in case he sees anything else that seem interesting, he looked over at the walls, very beautiful paintings and jade decorations lining the walls.
“ ATTENTION NEWBIES !!” an elder boomed, his voice bouncing off the walls and ceilings.
Nian quickly spun his head towards where the voice came from, it was an elder and his face looked familiar, he had seen him once before, it took the slightest effort for Nian to remember, it was elder Mo,
that one that had addressed them the very first time they came to the sect, Nian saw a couple of people already gathering around the elder.
“ over there, let's go quickly” Lei Cheng said pulling Nian. Yu Zhong following behind.
After several seconds everyone had gathered and kept calm, waiting for this elder Mo of a person to talk.
