It's been a week since the argument. They hadn't said two words to each other, They hadn't even looked in each other.
As Prom was fast approaching the glee club were planning all of the numbers that they wanted to perform that night.
'As these pairs have worked so well for us in the past-' Mr Schue began. Quinn immediately tensed, she knw what this meant. He was going to pair her with Puck. Her thoughts were confirmed when Mr Schue called out their names. 'Quinn and Puck.'
'Kill me now!'
'What the hell happened between you two? You've hardly even looked at each other.' Santana asked the blonde quietly while Mr Schue said the rest of the pairs.
'It's over.' Quinn said quietly
'Q-'
'Whatever.' She dismisses. 'It was a stupid deal anyways.'
'Are you okay?' The Latina asked sincerely.
'Fine.' She said with a painfully forced smile.
It was incredible awkward. Normally they would be flirting and teasing each other, but now they couldn't even look each other in the eye. A part of the choreography was for the guy to put his hands of the girls waist. Puck reluctantly did the move and the blonde immediately tensed. The pairs eyes connected.
'I-I can't do this.' She stuttered out before quickly running out of the choir room.
---
Quinn went straight home after that. She tried to stop thinking about him. She really missed him. It wasn't even the sex that she missed. She just missed hanging out with him. . It's the longest they've ever gone without talking since they met. He was her bestfriend.
Her parents are on a cruise leaving the blonde alone. The doorbell rings at around 9pm. She reluctantly answers it. She opens the door and see Puck standing on her doorstep. She immediately closes the door but Puck keeps it open.
'Q-'
'I don't want to talk.' She tells him, crossing her arms over her chest.
'Good, you can listen.' He says. 'And if you still hate me, fine. You have every right too. Just hear me out, please.'
She takes a deep breath and swallows hard. 'Fine.'
They go up to her bedroom and Quinn sits on her bed while Puck stands at the door.
'I was out of line.' He begins. 'I shouldn't have said what I said.'
'No, you shouldn't have.'
'I'm sorry Q.'
'If you didn't want me to go to prom with Finn, you could have just said so.' Quinn says.
He sighed. 'You should go with him.'
'But you don't want me too.'
'Like you said, I'm not your boyfriend.'
She bit her lip. 'You really think he's using me?'
He shrugged. 'Maybe.'
'Puck-'
'Do what makes you happy.'
Quinn bit her lip. 'I don't want to talk anymore.' She says quietly.
Puck nods, and turns to leave, but before he can even get the door open Quinn's voice stops him.
'Don't go.' She says, surprising both of them. 'You're staying here, and you're going to lie with me, and hold me.'
He smiled, and did as he was told. The blonde laid on her side and felt Puck lay next to her and wraps his arms around her. They together in silence for a few minuets.
'Did you mean it, when you said that you hate me?' Quinn asked lowly.
'No.' He answer truthfully. 'Did you?'
'No. I didn't.' She said. 'I wish I did, I wish I could hate you. But I can't.'
'I know.' He says quietly.
He presses a kiss onto her forehead and the pair drift off to sleep.
