Miranda sat down at her office desk. She had just gotten her Christmas photos back with her and Tuck. It was odd she was newly separated and this was the first year her husband wouldn't be apart of the photos. They have been sending Christmas cards together since college. She sent her parents, aunt and uncle their cards. Now her coworkers and a few patients. She put stamps on all of the letters and tomorrow she would put them in the mail for delivery.
Ben came home after a long day of work.

He grabbed his mail sitting it on his kitchen counter before going to take a shower. After showering he went in to his kitchen to fix himself some dinner. While his dinner was cooking he went through the mail. He pulled out a red envelope with beautiful cursive hand writing. Ben opened the letter and began to read it.

He scanned it over and over again. A woman named Miranda was writing to here patient. He wondered  what kind of doctor was she. She didn't really go into details. She just told her patient that she had a big impact on her as a human being and her career. Ben felt the envelope again and he noticed something was still inside.

He reached in and pulled out two photos. His eyes was met with the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen and she had a son. Ben looked at the photos again and he was in awe he didn't know one woman could hold so much beauty. Her smile was mesmerizing.

Ben wanted to send Miranda her photos back since they were not meant for him. He went into his home office and grabbed an envelope, paper, and stamps. Ben wrote 3 letters throwing them all away he didn't want to sound weird or creepy. He didn't know if calling her gorgeous in the letter was too much so he dialed it back and wrote beautiful.

Dear Dr. Miranda Bailey,

I don't think you meant to send this letter to me seeing as though I’m not Jennifer, but I must say that you are beautiful and you have a beautiful son. I wish you the best and a Merry Christmas.
Ps. Your photos and original letter are enclosed here.

Sincerely ,Dr. Benjamin Warren

After Ben finished his letter he reread it a few times. When he was satisfied he closed the envelope and wrote her name and address on the front, placing the stamp in the corner. He quickly left out putting it into the mailbox.

Miranda grabbed her mail out of the box on the way in. She literally hasn't been home in three days. She needed to get a power nap in because Tucker would be here with her child in a few hours. Miranda checked the mail sitting on her bed. Throwing most of them in the trash beside her bed, but she stopped at a white envelope with neat hand writing.

She read the name "Benjamin Warren." She thought about it for a moment she didn't know a Benjamin Warren maybe he had the wrong address, but then again the letter had  Miranda Bailey in the middle. She sat back on the bed and opened the letter and started reading. She gasped finding out that she sent her photos and letter to a stranger across town.

Miranda continued reading and found herself blushing at the stranger's compliment.
After Miranda finished reading she contemplated on writing him back. She didn't know what she wanted to say, but she felt like she should say something even if its just a thank you.

Dear Dr. Benjamin Warren,

I'm so sorry I just realized that I left a number off of the address, thank you for the compliment and for sending my pictures back that was really kind of you. I noticed that you have doctor by your name is it  a PhD or MD?

Sincerely Dr. Miranda Bailey.

Ben was thrilled to see a new letter from Miranda. He had been thinking about her strangely enough and he wondered if she ever received his letter. Ben read her letter and smiled. He grabbed a paper and a pen and began to write.

Dear Miranda,

You are so welcome and there is no need to thank me. I was just telling the truth. You really are breathtakingly beautiful.  And to answer your question I have an MD. I’m an anesthesiologist at Mercy West. What about you? If I have guessed correctly I want to believe that you are a surgeon, but what kind?.

Sincerely Ben Warren.

Miranda grabbed her mail out the mailbox on her way to work. She drove to work and parked her car. Pulling out her letter from Ben.

Miranda quickly read it and smiled. He was really sweet. Throughout her day Miranda couldn't stop thinking about Ben. She wondered what he looked like and how old was he. She had a feeling he was handsome though.

When Miranda got a break she went to the mailroom in the bottom floor of the hospital  across from billing. She grabbed a paper with Seattle Grace's letter head and wrote her letter to Ben.

Dear Ben,

I am currently at work and I finally got a break, but anyways I'm pleased that you think that, although I think you're being too kind. You've guessed correctly I am a surgeon, a general surgeon at Seattle Grace. An Anesthesiologist?? So you are a gas man. What made you choose that career path?

Yours truly, Miranda.
