I just want to say. As this being my actual diary except names that everything that I have written in this chapter including what people have said and reactions actually happened today and will be reported to the school board when I go into school tomorrow. I believe that everyone has the right to basic human rights no matter what their gender, race, religion, race and sexuality. What my tutor said today did make me feel personally victimised and it made some other students feel the same too, both male and female as they told me after tutor time. I also want to add that I can tell when someone in joking and when someone is serious. Even if it was a joke he should still be punished for joking about something as serious as equality, human rights and beating a child. Thank you guys. I shall update you on what the school is going to do to prevent this from happening again. If anything.

Hi guys.
So, I went back to school today to find out that a lot had happened over the Christmas holiday. Many shocking things but the thing that shocked me most was that... My form tutor is a horrid, rude, sexist, stereotyping PIG!We got told to discuss the issue of gender stereotypes and how toys can affect them. For example the use of promoting and marketing dolls and cooking sets for girls could give young children the impression that girls and women are supposed to stay at home, look after the baby, cook and clean.
I thought it would be a great opportunity to share my views on the topic in a civilised manner where I finally wouldn't be told by an adult that I was wrong and that it's against nature.
I was TOTALLY wrong.
Instead of us just having a little conversation/debate, me and some of the other girls in our last year were trying to argue our point of our entitlement to basic human rights whilst our stupid tutor was absolutely degrading us.
We started discussing the pay for women and how women get paid a considerable amount less than men for the exact same work. None of us were shouting or anything. We just stated a fact. It wasn't even a heated opinion. Just fact. What we got told in reply by our tutor was 'Well, women only get paid less because we're better at working than you are.'
What.
A group of 11-16 year olds from many different upbringings that was almost equally split between male and female students were told by a member of staff who is meant to support all young people in their journey to become adults that half of them are inferior because of their genitals. Wow. Great going there schooling system. Yay.
This is why I'm losing faith in humanity.
We then went back to discussing toys and how it can possibly create gender stereotypes from a young age. I went on to explain this idea to everyone and they all seemed genuinely interested by the research and ideas. Except him. He just stared at me like I was from another planet and stated 'Well that's where you belong.' Then proceeded to act fake shocked and say 'Oooops. I'm not allowed to say that.'
Now you all probably have your own opinions on this topic which is great but I'd like to believe and hope that you all know how to discuss without becoming rude and discriminating towards any gender, race, sexuality group or person.
The last point that really shocked me most from the conversation is that my tutor asked me directly 'Okay, tell me this then. What would you do if you had a son and he wanted to wear dresses?' I looked him straight in the eyes and said proudly 'I'd let him because 1. he has the right to dress how he wants to and 2. he'd still be my son.' He then scoffed so I asked him what he'd do and he said and I quote 'Get him serious help or beat him severely.'
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????^^ That was just giving you time to let that sink in.
What my tutor said today was completely out of order and made me feel sick and angry to be in the same room as him.
I went to me last lesson with tears in my eyes, anger coursing through my body and sickness in my stomach. I can't believe that I made it through the whole time without shouting at him or swearing.
And now... Some wise words from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
"You cannot make women and men equal; this is against nature,"(Detecting my sarcasm? Good.)
Until next time guys.
Byeeeeee!!
