Chapter 17: Lost Memory

Third Person

Harry whispered to Hermione everything that had happened in the forest. Once they got to the castle, Hagrid sent Lilian, Neville, Malfoy, Hermione and Harry back to our common rooms. They did as told but not before they protested and sent dirty glares at Hagrid.

Ron had fallen asleep in the dark common room, waiting for them to return. He shouted something about Quidditch fouls when Harry roughly shook him awake. In a matter of seconds, though, he was wide-eyed as Hermione began to tell him what had happened in the forest. Harry couldn't sit down. He paced up and down in front of the fire. He was still shaking. He couldn't get his ming off Jenna.

"Snape wants the stone for you-know-who... and you-know-who waiting in the forest... and all this time we thought Snape just wanted to get rich...." Hermione said.

"Firenze saved Harry, but he shouldn't have done so...Harry said he was talking about interfering with what the planets say is going to happen.... They must show that you-know-who is coming back.... Bane thinks Firenze should have let you-know-who kill Harry.... I suppose that's written in the stars as well."

"So all I've got to wait for now is for Jenna to wake up, Snape to steal the Stone," Harry went on feverishly, "then Voldemort will be able to come and finish me off... Well, I suppose Bane'll be happy."

Hermione looked very frightened, but she had a word of comfort.

"Harry, everyone says Dumbledore's the only one You-Know-Who was ever afraid of. With Dumbledore around, You-Know-Who won't touch you. Jenna is going to be alright." she said hesitantly, "Anyway, who says the centaurs are right? Mars may be bright tonight but it sounds like fortune-telling to me, and Professor McGonagall says that's a very imprecise branch of magic."

The sky had turned light before they stopped talking. They went to bed exhausted, their throats sore. But the night's surprises weren't over.

When Harry pulled back his sheets, he found his invisibility cloak folded neatly underneath them. There was a note pinned to it:

Just in case.

The next day, Jenna was released from the hospital wing early in the morning and made it on time to breakfast.

She sat at the end of the Gryffindor table and not soon after Harry, 'Mione, Accalia, Ronald, and Lilian came running over and sat around Jenna.

"Jenna! Are you okay?" Hermione asks.

"I'm fine," Jenna says looking at all of them with concern, "Why wouldn't I be? What happened?"

"You fainted in the middle of the forest during detention that's what! And what's more is that we came across Voldemort and he was drinking unicorn blood!" Harry looked appalled. "And you stayed in the hospital wing the whole night!"

Jenna blinked and looked at all her friends. She then erupted in laughter. "Have you all lost your minds? That's ridiculous! That never happened!"

All of them except Jenna had horrified expressions on their face.

"Then enlighten us." Hermione whisper shrieked.

"Fine." Jenna says, crossing her arms, "Draco, Harry, and I found the unicorn. It was slayed and silver blood was flowing out. Then Hagrid, Lilian, Hermione, and Neville found us and we headed back to the castle! How I ended up in the hospital wing I do not know!"

Jenna collected her book bag and headed out of the great hall.

"PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL!"

Lilian knocked fiercely on Professor McGonagall's classroom door, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Accalia behind her. It was around noon when they paid a visit to McGonagall. They wanted to know what happened to Jenna and one thing they were sure of was that Professor McGonagall knew what happened to her.

"What is all this ruckus!?" The door of the classroom burst open and revealed a very angry looking professor.

The children pushed through and sat in front of McGonagall's desk. The old witch soon joined them, glaring at each one.

"What-"

"We want to know what is wrong with Jenna!"

McGonagall opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. It was a moment before she spoke.

"It seems that Ms.Potter has forgotten that moment when she was attending detention in the forbidden forest. Thing is we don't know what caused it." she sighed, "We asked Mr.Malfoy who happened to be there but he didn't know what except it was a hooded figure."

"It was Voldemort." Everyone flinched at the name except Lilian.

"Don't be ridiculous boy!"

"I'm not being ridiculous! Even Firenze and Melay knew who it was!" Harry says swinging his arms in the air, "And besides, the only thing that would eat unicorn blood would be Voldemort!"

"You'll be late for your next class." McGonagall said, ushering them out of the classroom.

They all left the room and started heading to their next class.

"Just leave it." Hermione said. "If the teachers don't know how to make her remember than nobody else does."
