The rattling of the train woke me as it lurched to a stop. God what time is it ,it's almost dark out? I had gotten on this train on a whim this morning and usually I get off after an hour but not this time I guess.

A scratchy voice came over the intercom announcing it was the end of the line. I gathered myself and my book bag and got ready for whatever was on the outside of this train. The air was warm as I stepped off the train- well warm for this godforsaken country.

Just a normal town how disappointing. I was hoping for something interesting but what was I expecting. It looks to be around 4pm but who's to say.

"Lets just find a corner shop and get something to drink" I say aloud to no one.

As I wander around I take in the area. A boring neighborhood nothing special ,a few dog walkers here and there a group of teens a ways ahead of me on the sidewalk. I bet they think I'm following them. Do I have stalker vibe? I hope not that'd be suck. I've already warded off everyone back at school.

I look down at my stockings as I walk. The sidewalk was smooth and well kept. I sort of miss the crumbling mess of concrete from my old neighborhood. My sister and I would see who could make it the farthest on our scooters with out eating shit because of the huge drops and cracks in the pavement. Ah the past how lovely.

After an hour or so I find myself at a convenience store. Fucking finally it's starting to get cold out. I walk in and give the cashier a quick wave as I go down the isles. I wish I had brought my phone with, I still dunno where I'm at.

God who put the monster all the way up here ! Like why. this is heightism. I hear the jingle of the door but continue hopping to get the sweet sweet energy. Maybe I should drink more milk , grow my bones.

Some one eclipses the florescent light and stands for a moment behind me.

I turn slowly to see a tall boy standing awkwardly behind me. He's wearing I think the blandest outfit I've ever seen. Disappointing. Just stood there for a bit before opening his mouth to speak.

"Do you uh need help?" he says pointing up to the energy drink clearly out of my reach. I step aside sheepishly pointing to the one I was trying to grab. He gets it and hands it to me with a little smile. Boring looking but a good samaritan.

"thanks"

"yeah no problem"

That's the end of that. As I check out I see the bland one with a couple other teenage boys. I forget that they travel in packs. Hopefully I can figure out how to get back. Before I leave the store I ask the cashier for directions.

"Do you know which train I need to take to get to Summerside School for Girls?" I ask quickly. The cashier looks at me confused for a minute before answering.

"Oh the one a town over?" he asks.

"Well If you wait at the bus stop down the street a bus should be there around 9pm ,I don't think any trains run that way at this time."

"Oh well thank you." I say, quickly leaving the store.

New objective : find a park. Can't be that hard.

WHERE IS THE DAMN PARK!! This is ridiculous it's a law of the universe that if you wander around a middle classed neighborhood long enough you will run across a park or a playground or like anything!! I've been walking around aimlessly for about an hour ,the sun is starting to set.

Just as all hope was lost there it is the beautiful arch of the climbing structure , the shiny slide, that is definitely a park. I scan for a moment and decide that the small tower play structure would be the best spot to shield the cold. It really fucking blows that I have to wait here for like 2 hours .

As I approach the play structure I see a familiar bland boy.

oh dear
