Good-bye

The list keeps going. On and on and on. My eyes wonder around and I find my gaze at the camera. The black circle surrounding the lens, and the reflection of brightly colored dresses bouncing off like an explosion of a rainbow.

After the ceremony I find mom with tears in her eyes. I quickly hug her. She smells like mom, lavender and vanilla but safe. I won't be able to live with them. "You'll always be my little girl, no matter where you live". She whispers into my ear. I start crying and hold onto her until Acer comes.
I pull back as she slides my slip out from between my fingers and reads " but hey, Wildlife Rehabilitator and you work for the president!! That's my girl!" She smiles sadly and folds my slip back up.

Acer approaches smiling like a fool.
"And Acer!!" Your an accountant!!! I'm so proud of you!! And I'm so happy we can be neighbors!" She says sounding excited at least one of her children won't be out of her life.

She catches my eye, her eyes flooding with sorrow. "And Adonis, we love you and always will" she says touching my arm.

"What two amazing young adults these are!! An accountant and a Wildlife Rehabilitator!! I couldn't be prouder!". I jump and turn quickly around, ready to... Well I don't really know what, to see a tall man with short brunet hair and hazel eyes looking down at me. Acer is faster then I am and runs up to him and they embrace in a hug. "Dad!! Where have you been?!" Acer says.
"I thought you weren't coming and forgot about us!! I was mad! How long have you been here? Did you see us choose? I got an accountant!! A money cadsek!" He says running his lips a mile a minute.

Dad only laughs and hugs me. "Yes Acer, I saw all of it me and your mother sat together. I'm sorry I couldn't come with you guys, but I made it for the important part!" He says turning to me. "And Adonis a Wildlife Rehabilitator!! You'll have a great house!! The more cadseks you have the better the house, pets available, etc.". He then picks me up and twirls me around without warning until I'm way beyond dizzy.

"I'll tell you what though, whoever you get tonight means him are having a serious talk. Not just anyone can marry MY daughter!! He says wide eyeing me.

I can't help but laugh as joy crosses over me. I've waited all my life for this day, and it's better then I ever could of imagined!!!! I hope tonight goes well to though.....omg what if I don't fall in love and become a colk!!! This amazing job would go to waste, and my parents are so excited.... They would be mortified!! I can NOT let them down. I will marry sometime in the next 31 days... And that's a fact.

Dad is the one to snap me out of thought. "Adonis I know it's late but you look stunning!"He says smiling. "I know, I can't believe this day came so quick though! It feels like yesterday you guys where tripping on your own two feet!" Mom says as she laughs.

All parents please exit the building for the goodbyes of the choosing class, it's the last time they'll see each other. A voice comes over the speakers. "Well that's our cue!" Mom says backing up. "See you guys at the house so we can get you ready for tonight!" Dad says. Then he grabs moms hand, and there gone.

Acer sits on a bench and motions for me to sit down next to him. I do and start the conversation with a question I've been dyeing to ask science the ceremony. "What do you think of that girl, Amarantha Meadow?" I say nudging his arm. He looks away and blushes, "you saw that?" He sounds embarrassed.

"How could I miss it!? Your mouth fell to the ground, and your eyes never left her!!" I say surprisingly. He just looks away and his face gets more red.

He really likes her!! I hope she has a good adieu de and personality!!:)

"It's not important okay! " He says getting up, trying to sound serious but with a huge grin. Whatever 😏

"Well!! I say annoyed. "Are you going to talk to her or not??" He looks suddenly as pale as a ghost as Amarantha enters the room. His eyes light up so bright they could replace the sun and a small smile creeps across his face.

I wave my hand in front of his eyes. Nothing. This goes on intil I have to jump in front of his view and grab a piece of his brown hair. "Oww!! Okay okay I'm listening!!" He says rubbing his head.

"I could play wingman if you want!! Us girls easily talk and unlike you I won't choke when I talk to her". He nods and pushes me towards her clearly at a loss of words, and positions his hair and tux to be perfectly lined up and looks the other way.

I can't help but laugh at the sight of my brother trying to look good, it's quit comical. Amarantha Meadow is smoothing out her dress when I get to her. "Hi!" I say walking up to her. She looks up and smiles.

"Oh hi!" She looks at the ground then looks back at me. "Is he your boyfriend?" Pointing to Acer.

I smile. "So you like him?" I ask. Her face turns bright red and she looks down. I take that as a yes. "No he's not my boyfriend he's my brother" I say. She perks up and smiles. "Oh and his names Acer" I say laughing.

"Thanks that'll be helpful" she say laughing with me. "You know, he sent me over hear to talk to you... He likes you to" I say glancing at Acer. He's looking at us from the corner of his eye.

"Really?" Amarantha says excitedly. "Yeah and he thinks your really pretty, and he likes your name." I say listing things.

"Okay I'll go talk to him" Amarantha says getting up and holding her dress up slightly.

She walks over and his face lights up. They do look cute together!! Her long light pink dress with bright sparkles at the chest up reflect her eyes, long wavy brown hair flowing down one side and her smile glows like Acer's. And Acer in his black tuxedo, spiked up short brown hair, and a white smile.

Plus Amarantha seems really nice and like she has a brain in her head! There kids would be so adorable and charming, I can't help but hope he proposes!! :)

Proposes..... Shoot. I have to stop helping Acer, and start flirting!! Ughhh why'd they have to involve me in this!! It's okay calm down.... I know I'll go to the main goodbye area! Someone will notice me there I just have to be fast.

I glance back at Acer and Amarantha and there holding hands!!

Stupid! Keep moving! I shout in my head. I quickly spin around.

The rooms a blur as I spin around, until I see a tuxedo and feel a bump against my chest knocking the wind out of me. I get sent backwards and on the way down I get soaked. Someone's drink comes down with me and I land with a thud on the floor. My spine hurts and I'm trying to catch my breath. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay!?" I hear a voice say. A large hand grabs mine and I get slowly helped up.

My vision finally clears and I see a tall guy, with dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes. I catch myself looking down to see his muscles are Nicky sized. "I'm so sorry! I need to watch where I'm going!" He says smiling. I feel myself starting to drop my gas and I quickly cover.

"Hi! I'm Adonis" I say smiling. "I'm Rye" he says.
I wait for more but where just starring into each others eyes, and seems how he never let go from helping me up, where holding hands.

"Wanna sit down?" He asks. I blush before replying "sure" 😊
