To Tame A Beast

Prologue

            Kriti looked at the man standing in front of her with rage and hate for her in his oceanic blue eyes in shock as his previous words continued to tear her heart into million shreds. She cannot believe he is the same man who trusted and respected her more than anyone in his life, but now accusing of something which she could never do even in her wildest nightmare.

'Kain please let me explain. This is not what it looks like' Kriti tried to explain wiping her tears and talking a step towards the man who is fuming in anger and betrayal. But before she could take another step, Kain marched forwards and pushed her against the wall as her white sleeve of her t shirt turned red from his blooded hands.

'Don't you dare call me Kain again. You lost that fucking right when you decided to betray me for that bastard. I don't want any explanation Miss.Agarwal. What I just saw explained me everything and made me see your true colours. I thought you were different and not like those back stabbers in my life. But you stabbed me straight through my heart with your lies and betrayal. I should kill you right here after what you did. But I don't want to dirty my hands with your filthy blood. Before I do something leave and never ever show your disgusting face to me. If you dare to come near me again I will destroy you and ever one you love. So get the hell out of here and from my building.' Kain said in a cold voice and kriti just looked at him as silent tears ran down her eyes. He then pushed her out of his bedroom and slammed the door on her face making her close her eyes in pain. She never thought she would see hate for her in his eyes which only carried respect, trust and care for her. She know she made a huge mistake by hiding about Marcus from him, but she did everything to protect him and his business. But Kain's accusation without even hearing her side of story broke her heart into million pieces. Kriti opened her eyes on feeling a soft touch on her shoulder only to find Ryan, Kain's best friend standing near her with remorse and understanding in his eyes.

'K I am sorry for whatever he said. He is not in his sense and I am sure he will regret all this once he comes to know the truth. I trust you K. Just go home and give him some time to calm down. We can talk about this in couple of days.' Ryan said trying to console her cursing his stupid hot headed friend in his mind. On seeing Ryan's trust Kriti just hugged him tight for few seconds as Ryan rubbed her back to give her some comfort seeing her broken state.

'Thank you Ryan, for trusting me. But I am not going to explain anything to him anymore. I am done explaining myself to everyone in my life. If he thinks I betrayed him even after 4 years of my loyalty to him, I don't think he deserve any explanation. Let him think whatever he wants about me. Just take care of him. Thank you for being a great friend and brother Ryan.' Kriti said before breaking the hug and walked out of the house wiping her tears.

Ryan stood there watching her walk out of their life helplessly as the hope he had to see his friend finally happy dying with every step she took and he cursed his best friend in his mind and wanted to break his bone for hurting a loving soul like her. He just prayed some miracle would bring Kriti back in their life once again for Kain's sake as he know Kain is going to hate himself after realising the mistake he made.

'What have you done Kain?' Ryan sighed rubbing his face and entered his friend's room to knock some sense into his idiotic mind.
