CHAPTER FIVE : Volleyball

CHAPTER FIVE

A WEEK PASSED and you've gotten really close with your classmates especially Denki and Kirishima. You've been hanging out a lot and you've had a lot of fun with your classmates. You've even had guitar lessons and jamming sessions with Jirou. Although, you and Bakuhoe's friendship had no progress at all. You've tried talking to him politely and he'd respond to you shouting. There's literally not a single time this man didn't look like he was about to chop your head off. But since you like thrills, there's still a part of you that wants to have a normal conversation with Bakugou. Maybe even be his friend. Although you knew that that was impossible, you still thought of giving it a try.

Your parents always told you to be nice to people even if they don't do the same thing back because we have no idea what made them like that. You thought Bakugou just had a bad upringing which lead to having an attitude like that.

"Open up! We're playing." You hear someone call your name after hearing knocks on your door. You open your door and see Bakugou with his hands on his pockets and wearing a very comfy looking white shirt. Speak of the devil and he comes knocking onto your door a few seconds later. "Playing what?" You ask him. "I don't know. Volleyball?"

"I love volleyball! Hold on I'm just gonna change. Stay here." You squeal. "Why would I wait for you?"

"Because I want you to wait for me. Plus I don't want to look like a loner walking alone in the hallways." You close the door and run to your closet. Bakugou was about to leave but he saw Mineta running back. "Where are you going?" He asks Mineta. "To my room. I forgot something. Why are you in front of Y/n's door?" Mineta asks him back. He thought of what to say for a couple of seconds. "She wanted me to wait for her."

"Oh I can wait for her. You can go." He offers to take Bakugou's place. "I'll blow your head off." He threatens Mineta. Mineta then ignores Bakugou and goes to his room. Bakugou had no idea why he did that. He just thought Mineta is the biggest pervert and would probably creep you out. 'Yeah. I'm just being nice.' He thought to himself. A few seconds later, you come out wearing volleyball shorts and a white shirt. Bakugou looks at you from feet to your head. "Good thing I scared him off." He mumbles to himself. "Scared who off?" You ask him. "No one. Hurry up."

"We're matching!" You squeal and tiptoe towards Bakugou pulling his shirt. "Shut up. I don't care." He hisses at you. "I'm trying to be nice here. C'mon man. Cooperate."

You and Bakugou were playing against each other. You were in a team with Iida, Momo, Jirou, Shoji and Izuku. Bakugou was teamed up with Todoroki, Sero, Koda, Mina and Hagakure. Which by the way, their teamwork is in shambles. They can't even receive balls properly. No one knows how to spike a ball properly. The girls can't even touch the ball. It was just the boys who can't even play receives the balls. Oh, and to add, Bakugou is just yelling at Todoroki for not being able to set the ball for him. The score was 11-19 and y'all were at the second set. Bakugou was so pissed he started creating small explosions whenever he hits the ball.

"Bakugou stop burning the ball!" Sero shouts. "Then play! For fucks sake score a point against them!" He shouts back. The amount of chaos in the other team is just so much fun to watch. You felt like Todoroki could've done so much better if only Bakugou wasn't yelling at him every minute.

Sero hit the ball over to your side of the court and Iida receives the ball. You set the ball and signal Izuku to do a spike. "Use your quirk!" You told Izuku as he charges towards the ball. The ball went up and Izuku hits the ball with 5% of his quirk . The ball hit the line and your team scores a point. With that, Bakugou yells at his team again and tells Todoroki to set the ball for him. I'm telling you, this man will not survive in a team sport without yelling at his teammates.

Mina touches the ball first and Todoroki sets it up so Bakugou can give it a nice blow. Bakugou jumps and uses his quirk. Unfortunately he used too much and the ball comes flying straight into your head. Everything went blurry and the last thing you saw was Todoroki's face with shock written all over it.

The next thing you know, you're in Bakugou's back and he's running towards Recovery Girl's office. You felt so much pain in your head and tears started streaming down your face. You tighten your grip on Bakugou and shoved your head on his shoulders. "You're the biggest jerk I've ever met my whole life." You felt dizzy and suddenly everything is black.

You wake up in the school clinic with Bakugou beside you. Arms crossed and taking a nap. He was wearing a white sleeveless shirt along with the track pants he wore earlier. You try to get up while holding your head. Everything around you was spinning.

"How do you feel?" Bakugou asks you with a stern look on his face. "Do you wanna maybe say that again?" You ask him expecting to ask you the same question but with a much more gentle look. You wanted to feel like he was genuinely worried after hitting you with a ball straight into your head. "Say what again?"

"Ask me that again but be more concerned. Say it like your genuinely worried." You demand. "Brat."

"Fine." You said while acting sulky. "Hey" He calls you.

"WHAT?" You answer him annoyed

"H-how are you feeling?" He did really ask like how you wanted him to. "Aww" You pouted and managed to stand up and went to him. You squished his cheeks and he kept pushing your hand away. "I'm okay~ Were you worried?" You tease him. "Fuck off." You were leaning towards his face as he tries to push your arms again.

"Is Y/n awak-"

Mr. Aizawa suddenly enters without knocking. You jumped out of shock and lost your footing and accidentally placed your arms in Bakugou's chest for balance. Mr. Aizawa just stares at the both of you.

"This is not what it looks like." You both say in unison.
