"Mr. Castellano?" I managed to squeak out, my mouth agape and becoming drier with each passing second at the sight before me.
Dear God... Was this really Mr. Castellano?
The one who had saved and helped me last night? Or was it just the glasses?I had to check if there was really a problem with the glasses but that would be silly...or was it just my sight? There was no way that, that man had been the one who had offered me help last night. He was just too good-looking to be true.
My eyes scanned the masculine man from top to bottom. Handsome was what he was. A tall, muscular, broad-shouldered man with jet black hair in a neat pompadour. He had the most deepest, piercing green eyes I had ever seen and his full pink lips perfectly adorned his tan, chiseled face. Not only does he look like a Greek God in his tall stature, but powerful seemed to describe him well. He somehow oozed charm and power that couldn't go unnoticed.
Minutes later with eyes fixated on each other, I found myself getting lost in his emerald eyes. My gaze was fully on him and surprisingly I didn't flinch when he came closer until we were just inches apart, his towering physique looming over my petite one. He quirked one of his perfectly plucked eyebrow at me, secretly saying 'what?'
I shook my head, partly to say 'nothing', but mostly to rid me off of my gaping. I even have to raise my head up to look at him because his height was probably around 6'2 or 6'3.
"Señorita, Señor, excuse me. I will be making dinner now."
Mrs. Castel's unwavering sweet voice removed me from my gawking and I secretly thanked her for it. She timidly walked to where the fridge is and started preparing the ingredients. That was my cue to get out of here, away from his intense green eyes.
Clearing my throat, I stepped back. The kitchen seemed smaller than what it used to be when he came close.
"I'll be back in a sec." I mumbled while avoiding his gaze. I didn't dare wait for his reply as I scurried out of the the kitchen.
I looked so awkward back there. I forgot that I was still wearing an apron with sweat smudged all over my face and I groan in annoyance at how embarrassing that was. It was like, with just one look from his emerald orbs, I'd go all self-conscious when I shouldn't be. I've never cared about how I look, It didn't matter to me, mostly because all I wanted was to keep men away from me.
Entering my room, I went to the bathroom to have a look in the mirror. A flushed, sweaty face stared right back at me and I gasped in horror. I quickly fixed my hair into a ponytail and towel dried my face. I removed the apron and smoothened the wrinkles on my shirt. With one final look at the mirror and an audible gulp, I got out quietly.
As I closed the door behind me, I was startled to hear the voice of Mr. Castellano behind me.
"Are these for me? Did you make this?" He asked referring to my chocolate chip cookies. I was supposed to give him the cookies myself but I guess he had already seen it.
I nodded anxiously and he took a bite of the cookie, his eyes closing before letting out a sigh of contentment. My eyes glimmered with joy at the sight and I couldn't help but beam at him.
"I made those for you for giving me a new pair of eyeglasses and for letting me stay in your house." My grin widened when he smiled back, displaying his pearly whites stained with chocolate.
The cutest thing I've ever seen, other than rabbits and puppies of course.
For the very first time, I actually had seen him smile. It had an effect on me and I could feel my heart jumping ecstatically. Soon enough, I found myself smiling back at him in a goofy way.
