It's the early afternoon of Shantey's Holiday Plays live performance that would air on Amazon Prime Video. Some of her fans would be in the audience, anxious to see her performing live after a long hiatus.
Shantey, and her team were in the suite of Ace Hotel that offered a king bed, private wet bar, and large private terrace. Her hairstylist and makeup artist got her ready in unison, as she sat on the chair in the hotel provided robe. Azoni accompanied her, sleeping in the arms of Shantey's assistant, Jules, who sat on the couch nearby. Her stylist, Scottie, was laying out her outfit and accessories for the performance on the king bed.
Shantey held her phone in front of her as it rung from her video calling someone. When it answered, Heather's face popped on the screen with hers and she heard babbling in the background. "Hey, Mommy. Did you let in the people who's going to setup the Christmas decorations?"
"Yeah, they got here like twenty minutes ago. They're hanging the lights outside now." Heather replied, with her face being blocked in the camera by Seona's head.
"Hi, Mama!" Seona spoke through the line that has Shantey grinning instantly.
"Hi princess! Are you being good for Nana?"
"No." Seona little voice responded, making everyone snigger.
"She honest." Jasmine said, sitting nearby.
"She being bad?"
"When is she not?" Heather chuckled as she positions Seona next to her so both of their faces are seen in the camera. "But I can handle it. You don't worry. The boys are good, too."
"Have Cru and Boogie start packing? They leave tomorrow for Christmas break with their Dad."
"Cruz started and Boogie was packing nothing but toys."
Shantey chuckled a little. "Don't worry about that. I'll help them. I just wanted to check on you guys. I should be home soon."
"Okay. You have a great performance. We'll be watching."
"Okay, later princess."
Seona waved. "Bye bye, Mama."
The video call ended, and Jasmine says, "Cru and Boogie are spending the break on the east coast?"
"Yup, as agreed." Shantey shut her eyes for her makeup artist to apply the eyeshadow, "But I'll have them for Christmas this year since he had them last year."
Jasmine nodded, as her hairstylist spoke, "How do you deal with them being gone that long? Mine get on my nerves most times but if they left for weeks to another side of the coast I would go crazy, honey."
