Gianna
I've been lying in my bed and staring at the ceiling for hours. I was so confused. Why did Harry act like that? Why did he make me feel that way? I had only known him for a few minutes before he had me pinned against a wall with his hand around my throat. The worst part was I didn't stop him.
Fuck. Why didn't I stop him?
A knock on my door startles me out of my thoughts. I groan and get out of bed wondering who the fuck is at my door at 1:00am.
I open the door to find Madison crying. Now I'm wide awake and worried.
"Oh my god Madison! Are you ok? What happened?" I asked her. She could barely get a word out because of how hard she was crying. "I'm r-really sorry I-I didn't know where else to g-go." After she finished talking she fell into my arms. I was still so confused so I just loosely wrapped my arms around her. "You're gonna need to tell me what happened." I told her seriously. "He broke u-up w-wi-with me." She said and started to cry harder.
As soon as she said that you pushed her away. "What the fuck do you mean 'he broke up with me'" I spat at her angrily. "You were just over here fucking me last night!" "I know, I know. I'm sorry we just got in a really bad argument and I didn't know what to do." She said calming down a little. "I don't give a fuck! That gives you no right to come over here and just use me to avoid all your problems! Now I'm just the bitch that you cheated on your boyfriend with!" I yelled and she just stood there, tears falling down her face but making no sound. "You need to leave. Right fucking now." I said quietly. "No please I don't have anywhere else to go." She begged me. "I could care less now get the fuck out of my house." She just started crying again and walked out the door. The moment she stepped out of my house I slammed the door and yelled "Fuck!"
I didn't end up sleeping at all last night so I went into work early. I decided it wasn't that bad since I had to work on Harry's schedule anyway. God that man confuses me. No, I'm not gonna let him take up anymore of my thoughts. It's stupid anyway I was only with him for a few minutes.
I put Harry on the schedule for tomorrow so I could get used to having him around. If he's gonna work here I need to not be as affected by him. I don't think that's gonna happen but I need to at least make it look that way.
Since coming to work so early was an impulse decision I didn't bring anything for lunch which meant I had two choices, not eating anything or getting something from the food court. I would usually just go with not eating but today I was starving because last night I was too preoccupied with my thoughts and Madison to eat. So to the food court I go.
I let Louis know I'm heading out for my lunch break since he's working today. I go to the food court and decide what greasy food I want. I choose pizza mostly because it's cheap and easy. I go to sit down at an empty table and right when I'm about to put the pizza in my mouth to take my first bite I hear someone pull out the chair in front of me. When I look up I'm met with a pair of bright blue eyes.
"Mind if I sit here?" he says. "No, not at all." I say and gesture for him to take a seat. "It's been a while, how've you been Niall?" I asked the blond boy. Niall works a few stores down from me at the PacSun. "It's been a while because you never eat." He laughed. "But I've been ok. What about you." "Well I won't lie and say I'm doing great." I tell him as he laughs with me. "But I'm hanging in there for now. And hey! I do eat but I prefer real food over this grease ball." I say pointing to my untouched pizza. "I guess you have a point." He said showing off his contagious smile.
Me and Niall continued to talk for a little bit. Our conversation came to an end when he suddenly looked at something behind me. He quickly got and cleared his throat to speak. "Um I gotta go." He told me while rushing to get his things together. "I'll see you around though." And with that he left. "Weird." I whispered to myself.
My lunch was over shortly after that. I went back to the store and was greeted by Louis. "Hey um, Harry is in the back waiting for you." This made my eyes widen. Why is he here? I wasn't ready to face him yet. I thought I had at least till tomorrow to prepare for this moment. Fuck.
"Ok. Do you know why he's here?" I asked Louis.
He didn't say anything and it looked like a million different things were running through his head. But he just shook his head and said a simple "No" and went back to restocking shelves.I hesitated but went to the back room. I walked in and saw Harry sitting at the table we were at yesterday. He was leaned back in his chair with one leg crossed over on the other, both of his hands were gripping his top leg and he was drumming his fingers against it. Shit he looks so hot. The shirt he was wearing perfectly accentuated his arms and showed off the ink on his soft looking skin. It was barely buttoned up and his chest was fully exposed. Just looking at him like that sent a shiver down my spine.
I hope he didn't notice my staring but all my hopes were lost when he started to speak. "Are you just gonna sit and stare blondie or are you gonna come over and talk to me like what I came here for?" I squinted my eyes at him and bit my tongue. Before I spoke I took a deep breath. This man has such an effect on me and I barely even know him. "Well first off I'm not sitting I'm standing." I said matter-of-factly. I started walking to the chair across from him and once I was right in front of him I started talking again while I held eye contact. "Second, I wasn't staring, I was just assessing, analyzing my surroundings if you will."
He hummed then said "sounds like staring to me babe."Babe.
I hated how that word made me feel coming from him. I hate it so much. I sucked my teeth and sat down. "Why are you here, Harry." I asked him. He clenched his jaw at the way I was speaking to him. "Don't catch a fucking attitude with me blondie." He said aggressively. I swallowed and looked down. "Can you just answer the question." I said when I looked back up at him. "I'm here for my schedule." I was so annoyed. This fucker came here to ask for his schedule the day after he walked out and demanded it. I think it's gonna start getting easier for me to not be affected by him because now he's just pissing me off.
"If you would've waited I was gonna send it to you later." I told him annoyed. "Well since you have it can you stop being a bitch and just give it to me so I can leave." He said. This time I was the one clenching my jaw. I stood up abruptly to go get his schedule. Once I got it I sat back down and held it out to him. "Here" I said, shaking the paper in front of his face. He snatched the paper from my hand and lowered his eyes to read it.
I had him opening tomorrow. That should be fun. "Don't be late or I'll have you fired before you get your first paycheck and I know just how much you need this job." I said slowly.
I don't know what gave me the guts to speak to him like this but he just made me so frustrated. Apparently he felt the same about me because he was stomping to the door with his fist balled practically ruining the paper I just gave him.
He stopped at the door then turned around to speak to me. "I saw you on your little lunch date. I wonder if he was the one lucky enough to leave that pretty little bruise on you."
Then he was gone.
